This chapter had me on the verge of tears - happy tears, of course! I loved Nick's revelation that he takes Howie for granted and treats him like shit sometime, yet Howie doesn't even seem to care. That just sums up their relationship, except I don't think Nick really treats Howie like shit; he sure gives him a lot of shit, but it's out of love, and Howie is just good-natured enough to take it - and occasionally get him back. The addition of AJ at the end of the chapter was a nice touch, some much-needed comic relief! And now I'm all caught up! Wow! And the story's almost over! I will be sad to see it end, but it's been such a fun ride!
Author's Response: Yay for happy tears and congratulations on getting all caught up!! I'm also sad that the story is coming to an end. It has been a big part of my life this summer and I don't know what I will do when I don't have to think about it/work on it. I have about two chapters left to go in order to wrap everything up.

I am so thankful Howie is still alive.. I admit i was worried, but its hard to kill off one of the boys lol.
I am glad there was a little NIck/Howie bonding time., and I can totally see AJ just busting in the room with a whole hospital bed ;)
Author's Response: For me, I think it may be impossible to actually kill one of them off. I don't think that I would be able to live with myself!! LOL - AJ is always good for some comic relief.

Glad I finally got around to reading this chapter. My computer crapped out on me but thank goodness for this Nook. Anyway, I was relieved to see this was from Howie's point of view which meant he was alert and doing better. I loved the exchange he & Nick had. I know in real life it was very opposite whereas Howie was the one Nick seemed to confide in most,but I enjoyed this take on things. He certainly was a big old butthead to Howie often. Now that they almost lost him, maybe they won't be so quick to take him for granted. Looking forward to hearing this press conference. As always, nicely done!
Author's Response: Computer problems are the worst ... mine almost always seem to be Internet related. :( I agree that the opposite is true of Nick and Howie's relationship in real life (especially nowadays), but I kinda had to spin it the way that I did in order to keep things in line with Howie's feelings earlier in the story. Either way, I'm glad that you enjoyed the Nick/Howie moment. :D

Ok. You'd think I'd be use to the cliffhangers by now. Hehehe. I can't believe Sarah worked for the police.... Right under their nose, smh. Sometimes that's the last place you look. I am so happy Howie is ok. He has got to stop feeling like he is less than nothing compared to the other guys though. Wah. I am anxious to hear what Kevin and Brian says to the press. I feel like Kevin would do most of the talking. When you get that guy going, he don't stop!
Author's Response: I think you're right in the sense that Kevin will end up doing most of the talking. Hahaha - he loves to talk, but it takes him so long to get to the point that it drives me crazy! Yay for Howie making it out alive! He does have to stop feeling sorry for himself, but you can't really blame him. He is put on the back burner a lot.

I'm finally caught up! LOL I'm so glad that Howie's ok and I love the bit with AJ. Hopefully, Brian and Kevin's talk with the media goes well.

Awwww what a sweet scene between Howie and Nick, I love it. Lmfao at AJ convincing a fan to move him into Howie's room. How freaking typical. Now to see what the press says :).
Author's Response: It was time for some Howie and Nick bromance! :) I really do enjoy the two of them together, but I have such a hard time writing Howie that I haven't explored their relationship very much in this story. That's probably one of the things that I'm kind of regretting ... oh well.
