I loved the scene of the guys arguing over what to make their screenname LOL. Somehow I knew that was going to happen when AJ first mentioned registering for the forum. Interesting revelation from Brian about the girls who did him "favours." I can see why that would be strangely comforting to AJ and probably Nick too. I really appreciate the comic relief, especially in the midst of all this drama and suspense!
Author's Response: I find that I have to add some comic relief for my own sanity as a writer. I don't know how some writers can write a whole story that is dark and depressing. I have the utmost respect for those writers, because I would just feel so depressed that I would probably stop writing. In terms of the Brian revelation, I wouldn't be surprised if it were true in real life as well. I think that Brian isn't as squeaky clean as he leads everyone to believe.

I loved your use of description in this chapter, especially with the setting. I could picture this abandoned industrial building with the cheap fluorescent lighting that doesn't quite get rid of the shadows. The cameras add a nice, creepy touch. I appreciate how Howie just allowed himself to be led in instead of trying to fight, even though he thought about it. I've said this before, but that would probably be me LOL. I'd be too afraid to try anything, knowing I probably wouldn't be able to get away anyway. Somehow I think Kevin is not going to be as content just to sit there and take it. We'll see.
Author's Response: Wow - you certainly have done a lot of reading since the last time that I logged on. I suppose that's what I get for going away for a few days. Hahaha! Anways, I'm looking forward to reading all of your reviews. I'm glad that you were able to picture the setting. My goal was to make it sound sufficiently creepy. LOL - You, me, and Howie would just let ourselves be led along to the gloomy basement. There's no way that I would try and fight back in that situation. I'm a wimp.

I am so thankful Howie is still alive.. I admit i was worried, but its hard to kill off one of the boys lol.
I am glad there was a little NIck/Howie bonding time., and I can totally see AJ just busting in the room with a whole hospital bed ;)
Author's Response: For me, I think it may be impossible to actually kill one of them off. I don't think that I would be able to live with myself!! LOL - AJ is always good for some comic relief.

Glad I finally got around to reading this chapter. My computer crapped out on me but thank goodness for this Nook. Anyway, I was relieved to see this was from Howie's point of view which meant he was alert and doing better. I loved the exchange he & Nick had. I know in real life it was very opposite whereas Howie was the one Nick seemed to confide in most,but I enjoyed this take on things. He certainly was a big old butthead to Howie often. Now that they almost lost him, maybe they won't be so quick to take him for granted. Looking forward to hearing this press conference. As always, nicely done!
Author's Response: Computer problems are the worst ... mine almost always seem to be Internet related. :( I agree that the opposite is true of Nick and Howie's relationship in real life (especially nowadays), but I kinda had to spin it the way that I did in order to keep things in line with Howie's feelings earlier in the story. Either way, I'm glad that you enjoyed the Nick/Howie moment. :D

Ok. You'd think I'd be use to the cliffhangers by now. Hehehe. I can't believe Sarah worked for the police.... Right under their nose, smh. Sometimes that's the last place you look. I am so happy Howie is ok. He has got to stop feeling like he is less than nothing compared to the other guys though. Wah. I am anxious to hear what Kevin and Brian says to the press. I feel like Kevin would do most of the talking. When you get that guy going, he don't stop!
Author's Response: I think you're right in the sense that Kevin will end up doing most of the talking. Hahaha - he loves to talk, but it takes him so long to get to the point that it drives me crazy! Yay for Howie making it out alive! He does have to stop feeling sorry for himself, but you can't really blame him. He is put on the back burner a lot.

Author's Response: It was time for some Howie and Nick bromance! :) I really do enjoy the two of them together, but I have such a hard time writing Howie that I haven't explored their relationship very much in this story. That's probably one of the things that I'm kind of regretting ... oh well.
