Wow I have been waiting so much for this chapter. I knew it would come to this a few chapters ago already, I still wanted to read it for myself. I love how you described AJ again.

He's turning to one of my favorite characters in this story. Now this is the point of the story where I don't know what could happen in the next chapters anymore, so I will let myself be surprised :)

Author's Response: I kinda gave it away, didn't I? Oh, well, had still fun writing it out though ^^ And yeah, AJ's my favourite character here too, sorry Bri...

That was a really strong scene. I liked how you portray AJs struggle and Brian just slowly dying really. It's quite dramatic and so sad, so exactly the kind of stuff and story I like...

I'm always excited for the new chapter, cause I can't wait to see how it continues. What you do great is interactions between the characters, they seem sweet and are well written :)

Oh, wow, I don't know who's going to be more traumatized by this whole thing: Brian (if he survives) or AJ. I'm so glad AJ manages to reject the lure of one last drink, and yay for rescue finally arriving!

Author's Response: thanks for reviewing! AJ probably, I don't think Brian would remember half of it. To the rescue!

Oh... they finally met up. I can't wait for the next chapter really...

I wonder how Brian will end up coming out of this. If there will be any permanent damage or if he will fully recover. Whatever it will be it will be probably very emotionally and intrestingly written, so I'm looking forward to it :)

I am so glad that Nick finally caught up with the others (well, two of them), and that Howie and Kevin finally got some help. Can't wait to see what Nick's connection to Brian is all about.

Waiting for this was definitly worth it. I'm so happy you updated this story. I can't wait for the scene when Brian and Nick meet again. Poor, poor Brian, then again I like these kind of stories, so I'm really thankful you wrote it.

I wonder what is going on with Nick there, that connection reminds me of Demona and MacBeth from Disney Gargoyles. It's a sweet little touch that connection :)

Oh man, I'm kind of getting worried for Howie and Kevin. Feels like it's not going to be that easy, y'know? Even though I kind of wish they'll find help as soon as possible.

I'm loving this story so far. I have a certain fondness for bus crash fics (I think it's the nostalgic value - they were all the rage when I began reading fic back in 2001), and when they're this well written? And full of Brian whump? That's just the icing on the cake! Looking forward to reading the rest!

I love this story.
Omg I thought they dropped the bus on his legs. You should've saw my face.
Nicks other women...lol. I guess thats a whole other story.
I imagined them actually sitting in a circle giggling when Nick called. That's funny.
So Nick and Brian have a telepathic (is that the right word?) Connection. Is that how he finds them?
Hope you update soon :)

Yay!
Well, I should have known that when AJ wandered off again last time, he was up to much good. ;)
I'm really glad they're going to try to get Brian free... for awhile there I thought maybe he'd be better off staying under the bus until they could get help, but who knows when that will be, and the hypothermia is definitely a concern.
I really like how AJ's being the rebellious one and going hunting for things to help them--it's totally in character. I also like how Brian's being stubborn to the last and he's not so consumed with his own situation that he can't spare a moment of concern for Howie and Nick.
I also appreciate your likening of warmth to a delicacy from Brian's perspective. I thought that was very apt and quite poetic.
Here's to some successful bus-lifting... or possibly finding out what's happening with Nick!
Great job and hope you write more soon. :)

Aww, and here I thought they'd be all together by now... :(
I really liked your characterizations in this chapter, especially Kevin's, since you're writing mainly from his p.o.v. I think you conveyed well how his desire to be in control stems from sincere caring about everyone.
I can definitely see AJ's wandering off after being stuck at 'base camp' a couple chapters ago, and I'm glad the guys got some first aid supplies. Also good to know there will be some painkillers for Brian when he starts feeling less stubborn...
The mutual iodining was a good way to inject some humour into this chapter. It's good how you explained the beneficial role of the cold temperature and snow, and I suppose after about two hours since the crash they're not doing too badly, but I'm seriously wondering about how Brian's doing. Maybe the next chapter from his p.o.v. again?
I feel like it all depends on Nick, now--whether he managed to pass the bus after all before the collision or if he's somewhere behind them in a separate vehicle (ideally).
Hope to read more soon and great job with the writing!

Thank God!! Nick is far from the accident scene!! Now he can be the beacon of hope for the boys... i just hope he can get to the scene before its too late. I can't believe he got left behind by the bus. that part is surprisingly funny. and I sense some drama... will nick hold some hidden grudges from the group because he got left behind? haha!!! well i can't wait to see how he'll react when he finds out what happened to his "brothers." im looking forward to your next updates. ^_^

That last comment from Nick though, smh. If he only knew. I can't believe he got left though. Will Nick be rescuing the guys then? It seems no one is missing them. Although, I'm not sure how long ago since the accident. Excited to see where you go with this story.

I hope they make a plan soon! I feel like none of them have any inkling about survival skills in this kind of situation, but I'm glad at least they have blankets and some food. Too bad there's no campfire to go with that, although maybe something waterproof would be just as handy...

I guess it's good for Brian that it's so cold... that should help with the pain and possibly slow down any bleeding from whatever injuries he's sustained. Same for Howie. I have the impression that they're in for a long, harrowing night, should you choose to document it. ;)

I really wonder if there's a particular reason that Nick cannot be found, or if they just can't locate him in the dark.

It's quite a suspenseful story, and I hope you continue. I still have my agenda to plead for you to get Brian out from beneath the bus wreckage, and I think that with Nick's help that could be possible. This doesn't seem like a story where rescue is on its way anytime soon...

Nice work!
