Aww poor Kevin. I really could see Nick reacting in just the way you described as well as AJ. I had to chuckle at "Howie is just Howie" lol poor Howie. Nice touch with the lst baby. I actually wouldn't be surprised if that happened. Hopefully now Nick will get in touch with Kevin and lots of warm fuzzy moments will occur. Maybe Kevin will even be the one to find him on the floor. I keep forgetting he's in limbo land.
Author's Response: Lol I love Howie but you know how he can be sometimes. AJ and Nick I knew had to react the worst. They needed him the most. There were a lot of rumors back on LD after Kevin left that it was because of Kristin having a miscarriage. True? No clue but I decided to use it for this. :) I haven't decided who will find Nick yet. It's been a toss up lol. Thanks Mare!

This chapter made me kind of sad. I understand why Nick was so mad. I think I myself was a little upset when Kevin left. I didn't know how it would continue without him to be honest. The first album without Kevin I dreaded. If i can be completely honest I hated it. I didn't like it. I still don't. Maybe it was because Kevin wasnt there i don't know.
This was a good chapter Rose. Can't wait until next weeks! :)
Author's Response: Awww I actually love Unbreakable but then again NG is my least liked album lol. Unbreakable felt like a breath of fresh air. But I was really upset when I heard Kevin was leaving so I channeled those feelings into Nick. Thanks!

Knowing the pictures, this just brought them to life! I wouldn't be shocked at ALL if this is exactly how it went down. I really enjoyed the banter between the 3 of them..especially Kristan..lol Nice touch!! Very cute! But yet, we ALL know Nick just wants to bone Kev's wife...:p

Lol I always felt at this time Kristen got along with Nick the best out of the wives/girlfriends. Probably because she'd been there since the beginning. Not that Nick wouldn't mind getting with her. ugh how I hated that woman....i still dislike her today..not that i ever liked her anyway. i try too forget that chapter ever happened...she is such a terrible person. I am glad Kevin was there to rescue him though. its nice to have a big brother around to help you up when you need him the most.

Aww poor Nick. I forgot about that stupid cake with her face on it. We have face on shirt and face on cake. Nice! I love how you described Kritin's relationship with Nick as well as the rest. I think that's one of the reasons she has never ever bugged me. She was there from the beginning. I'm also enjoying your little blurbs at the start if every chapter. I hated this time in their lives. I loved the result of it. Never Gone and that tour are warm fuzzies for me. Ugh reading about Kevin leaving is not going to be fun.
Author's Response: I hate Paris so much. She was so freaking bad for him. I'm glad you enjoyed how I touched on Kristin too. I don't normally do that with the wives but in this case I sort of felt it was necessary. Nick's always had a great relationship with her and joked about wanting Kevin's wife and so she's as much a friend as anyone to him I think. I'm happy you like my blurbs! I toyed with what POV to do and in the first chapter I did it, liked it, and hoped it worked. NG is such a mixed bag for me. It's definitely their most creative recording time but I know a lot went on with Jive then and the album doesn't showcase the creativity going into it. But it was also my first ever BSB concert LOL.
Aww I know Kevin leaving will be hard. It was hard for me to write! But at least you got Kevin/Nick fuzzies in this chapter! :) Thanks Mare!

I really love this chapter because of the Nick, Kevin and Kristin scene. It was so adorable and cute until the paparazzi came. I am glad that Kevin helped him through that and happy to see another chapter as well. Looking forward to the next one, because I think you pretty much
hhit the nail on the head about Nick and Kevin relationship. Kevin was the one who always believed in him and I feel that is very realistic.
Author's Response: There were a few interviews around the Never Gone era with Kevin getting protective. One in protective was Kevin talking about how he told Paris to leave his lil brother alone before he puts her shit out there. (Basically). And the paparazzi photos from this incident show Nick being taken care of by Kevin. Poor guy. I do feel Kevin's always been the one to believe in all five of them - AJ and Nick in particular. Grace is a smart one...showing him what happened BEHIND the scenes..stuff he didn't hear/see...he really needs that right now. The very end of this chapter had me in near tears. Every chapter you have written seems like its EXACTLY what happened. Nice job at writing this so realistically!!! Loving it!!

I like how you're showing Kevin being supportive of Nick even if he doesn't realize it. I think that Kevin usually gets portrayed as the one who's hardest on everyone. I also wanted to smack AJ and Brian in the head and tell them to knock it off!

Aw this chapter made me so angry! Please tell me that Brian really didn't call his album a joke? Because I already want to stab him in the face for all the real things he did and said back then. lol And AJ! Gah! I hated that those two weren't supportive of him. See? That's why I always have a hard time buying into this Brian and Nick were always best friends crap because Brian's part always seemed conditional! Like I love Nick as long as he's not doing something stupid and embarrassing me and living up to the standards I set for him.

Author's Response: Brian did a radio interview around the Now or Never era. I couldn't find it and I can't for the life of me remember exactly what he'd said. I know it was derogatory but beyond that no idea. So I winged it. Which was annoying cause I really wanted to use what was really said. I did find an article claiming Nick felt like Brian was trying to push him out cause of NON (mind you it was popdirt so reliability issues lol). Everything was tense back then. Brian was definitely not supportive during this time though which could be why "Nick fans" and "Brian fans" fight so much to this day LOL. AJ was in fact not supportive at ALL. He went to a show and basically trashed Nick for doing it to begin with, one of the more reliable fans in the fandom told me about that years ago. So I used it here. I think Nick and Brian were besties up until Leighanne, that's when everything started getting weird.
Kevin and Howie were amazing. Looking back Howie was incredibly supportive as was Kevin. They're the best.

I never really thought about the 100 hour tour footage like that before or the MTV Diary either. I had no clue back then that anything was going on with the guys because I didn't talk online with other fans. So for me the whole AJ going to rehab thing and Kevin leaving was a huge shock that I never saw coming. I sometimes wonder what being on forum back then was like, all the rumors etc. Cause I can tell now there was some tension but back then I didn't have a clue.I feel like this is very accurate. Loved

Author's Response: Rewatching old footage made me realized they used a LOT of the same stuff for different specials, the vhs, etc. It made me wonder if the reason that happened was because there was just so much that had to be edited out. Given AJ's problems and the tense feelings in the group, it made sense to me. I wasn't on the forums then so I wonder too. Looking back there were a lot of signs we missed. Thanks Tracy!
