First off, I wanted to say that I'm LOVING the fact that so many people are writing about "the fight scene". I'm interested to see where you take this as a Nick and Brian bromance story is right up my alley! I enjoyed the fact that you kept showing the situation from both of their perspectives. I think that you nailed their emotions and I totally agree with AJ; what exactly marked the end of Frick and Frack? It's like one day they were super close and the next day they just weren't. The notion of Brian taking a break from the group scares the crap out of me! He's my favourite and the reason why I became a fan in the first place. I honestly don't know if I would continue to love them as much as I do now if Brian were to leave ...

Author's Response: I think Brian is a lot more central to the group than a lot of fans realize. Brian was my favorite when I first became a fan, too, and often competes with Nick for favorite-ness, I'm not gonna lie. lol... There's a lot of things from the movie that inspired this story, but it's been a story that I've been meaning to write for awhile now anyway, it just needed the nudge the movie gave it to make it come into fruition. I've had several versions of this story floating around my ideas file for quite a while now. There were just details in the movie that happened to stitch the story together in a way that made it work for right now. I hope you enjoy it!

Aww I wish they would of talked more in the bathroom. And I wanna know the reason for them not being frick and frack anymore!

Author's Response: Things shall unravel - whether Nick wants to think about Whys or not, the Whys are on their way. At least in the fiction world. lol

The thought of Brian leaving terrifies me in a way. He's my favourite - he was why I even liked them/took notice of them to begin with. It was his voice, his face, his eyes that made me a fan. I think if he were to leave that would be it for BSB. It was different with Kevin, because he was background a lot (love him plenty, but that's what he was), but Brian was (sometimes still is) leads and without him it would be weird. He's like the comedic relief (though they're all funny) that constantly makes you laugh. Sure I noticed he doesn't sing as much, but it never bothered me because he'd make me laugh. The man could stand there, smile and wave and do nothing else and I'd be happy - lol.

UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Author's Response: I started out a Brian girl, too. I've always been a Frick & Frack girl. Brian's heart was a very current issue in my family when I became a fan because my dad actually had an open heart surgery in the 90s as well so I knew what it meant and how serious it was, where a lot of the fans didn't understand it at the time. I was also raised in a very Christian family and the fact that Brian was a good Kentucky Church boy was basically one of the only reasons I was allowed to listen to BSB! I've always appreciated his fun and comic relief as well. I wouldn't ever want him to quit the group either. Luckily, this is purely fan fiction, lol. ;)

Everyone seems to be inspired by that fight scene, third since the movie came out! I'm keen to see where your interpretation will take you as it's already looking interesting and different.

Author's Response: This is going to end up more inspired by Brian's vocal issue in general, the fight just really added the spice to it, lol. There were a lot of things that were in the movie that are kind of coming together to create the backdrop for this story. I think a lot of the stories I've seen anyway took place at the time of the fight, too, where this one's actually set present time / in fictional near future. I have some interesting ideas to cover in this... You know I like writing more psychologically/emotionally involved stories. I hope it does stay interesting and different. :)
