I really appreciate this chapter for how it reminds us of Meg's independent streak, one of her traits that I like best. It's so true to life the way in which they both think the other is being unreasonable, and yet doesn't want to back down but still doesn't want to hurt the other. I love that they're not so besotted that they can't fight... I'm glad that they each have their own principles. It will be interesting to see how they begin to compromise (even though we already have hints about the outcome).
I hope Meg does at least apply for the Louisville job, especially after she almost convinced herself to seriously consider it! I also wonder if there's any possibility of another bus trip in the future.. would it be fun for her to visit the guys on the road for a bit? ;)

Poor Meg! What an unceremonious end to her career at Rolling Stone. I feel badly for her, but I think that she needs to bite the bullet and take the job in Kentucky. If she doesn't then it will be trouble for her and Brian. See, I knew that trouble was coming ...

Author's Response: I would love to say that was an unusually dramatic firing, but it's really not in that line of work. :( I appreciate your faithful reviewing! :)
