Okay, so it's definitely not Brian doing it. I don't think it's any of the guys, but it has to be someone who's on tour with them and has access to do all this stuff. I'm glad Nick showed someone the fanfic, and I loved Brian's reaction to it. I love the way you lighten things up with funny lines!
Author's Response: Thanks! When I was writing this story, I had originally had Nick show Kevin the story, but then I changed my mind and re-wrote the chapter with him revealing his secret to Brian instead. I think it ended up working better that way as I decided that Kevin is just too logical to even entertain the idea that Nick was presenting.

Yes!!! I called it! I definitely think the author of that story is the one doing it, and said author has to be someone connected to the boys to know all those details. A small part of me wonders if it's Brian... I'm not sure what his motive would be, but he's already indicated that he knows something about fanfic (or at least online erotica), and he's displayed some unusual behaviors - popping sleeping pills, actually telling Leighanne she can't come on tour... LOL. Hopefully I'm way off, but it's fun to speculate. Or maybe it's Agent Adams; maybe he's secretly obsessed with them. Is he even really with the FBI? He never showed them a badge... LOL Whoever it is, I loved that Nick is reading fanfic. And I also liked the whole back story of his relationship with Brian. You could write a whole novel about that; I think you'd do a great job with it!
Author's Response: Brian, huh?? I kind of like how you weren't afraid to go there. Could Brian be a killer? So many people would say "no", but maybe if he was pushed enough he would snap and start losing it on people. I think out of all the boys, Nick is the one who has taking a peek at some fanfic. Can't you just see him reading a story about himself and grinning stupidly at the screen?? LOL FYI, now I'm starting to think about how I could turn that backstory into a full story ... thanks for the vote of confidence!

I loved this chapter! My favorite part was Nick coming to Kevin because he was scared and this paragraph:
"I watched as Nick’s purposefully avoided my gaze, fiddling with the string on his plaid pyjama pants. Despite the fact that a thirty-four year old man was sitting on the bed, all my mind would allow me to see was a thirteen year old kid. It was like Nick the man wasn’t even there. He had been consumed by the floppy haired, fresh faced, high-pitched version of himself that I had viciously loved and despised all at the same time."
Aww... I love Kevin and Nick! I also loved the part about AJ's "pink nightie" and that picture of him LOL. Oh AJ...
Author's Response: I, too, love the dynamic between Kevin and Nick. Sometimes, I like to watch Kevin watching Nick during interviews just to keep tabs on his changing facial expressions. He really does seem to flip-flop between love and annoyance when it comes to Nick.

Well, I'm glad it wasn't Nick or Brian. It probably was someone from room service then. Now I'm thinking it might be a fan, maybe - if Nick has been reading fanfic - a fanfic writer. Just speculation here, but I'm thinking there has to be some kind of connection between Howie being poisoned and what Nick was doing on his iPad. I'm also wondering if Howie wasn't the only target and if someone will be trying to take them all out, one by one. You're definitely making me think and keeping me guessing!

So it was the green tea! I wonder if someone from room service at the hotel has been poisoning it, but I've also wondered if it COULD be one of the guys. I thought maybe Nick - if he has been reading fanfic - had done it to try to bring the drama of the stories to life or something, but the last chapter in his POV made me think not, unless he's an unreliable narrator. Who knows; I'm terrible at solving mysteries LOL. This is definitely holding my interest, though!
Author's Response: OMG!! I just busted a gut at the thought of Nick attempting to make fanfic plots come true! Can you IMAGINE what would happen if he tried to bring some of the stuff that has been posted on this site to life? The poor guy would end up killing himself in multiple ways and the others would all end up dying of a heart-attack.

Even though the situation is so serious, this chapter was really funny at times, too! I absolutely love AJ and that nurse going off on each other, and Nick's thought about how he can't get arrested again because his rap sheet is getting too long already cracked me up. And I think this was written BEFORE he got arrested this past January, right? LOL Oh Nick... Again, I love the comic relief and the way you write dialogue!
Author's Response: Yes, this was totally written before Nick got into that little altercation at the bar in January. All I could do was shake my head when I heard about that story. Ugh! The guy needs to work on keeping his anger in check ... or just keeping his alcohol intake in check. Anyways, if anyone was going to pick a fight with the nurse it would be AJ!

I loved this chapter; it's been a long time since I've read any good BSB medical drama. The whole exchange with the nurse was great comic relief; I laughed my ass off at the line about Justin Timberlake and the guys looking like they just came out of a Michael Jackson video. I wonder who would have poisoned Howie, if that's what really happened? Great way to end a chapter!

This has been one of the stories on my "to read" list since sometime while you were still writing it, and I've started it a couple of times, read a few chapters, then gotten distracted and busy and forgotten all about it, at which point I have to go back to the beginning and start again because I can't remember how far I read LOL. This is at least the third time I've started it, but I swear I'm going to keep reading this time and leave you some reviews along the way! I've enjoyed these first three chapters. I absolutely love the way you write the guys together; that's what drew me to your writing with Dodging the Daylight too. Their banter is always hilarious and so true to real life! I don't think I ever got far enough to find out what Nick has really been reading, but I've always thought it was fanfic. We'll see if I'm right... if so, I love that idea, and that's what keeps me coming back to this story! I'm also wondering what's up with Howie being so sick and how that will factor into the plot of the story. Reading on!
