*For the reading challange. I've parteciped two years ago and I had fun but I don't think I will doing it this year. Sadly, I write a genre that isn't really appreciated (slash), though I'm a very pricky reader and, since the lack of Brian's stories, I don't think I can't force myself to read another Nick centered story. lol*
Author's Response: Ha! You know Kevin; always thinking that he's above getting into trouble. He's amazing at giving advice, but not so great at listening to it. Perhaps this little incident will help him to realize that he's just as vulnerable as the rest of the guys. Interesting guess about the attacker being Lou! Although, you're right in the sense that the idea of him writing fanfic is hella creepy!! You will just have to wait and see what happens. Brian and Nick's reaction to Kevin's disappearance is in the next chapter, which I am just about to post.
That's too bad about the reading challenge. I also don't enjoy reading stories that are overly Nick centered. Although, if the writing is good, then I can often overlook the fact that he is the main character. I really do wish that more people would write Brian stories. I guess we're a dying breed. Haha! I can honestly say that I haven't read much slash. I guess, like most people around here, it's just not my thing. However, if it's what you like to write then you should write it! I know that most people would rather watch paint dry then read a Brian centered fic ... but I make him the main focus anyway. After all, I'm the one who has to read the story over and over while I'm writing it! LOL

I'm kinda having the feel that whoever is behind all of this must be someone inside their circle. Otherwise it doesn't make sense how easy and freely accidents are happening, especially now that the FBI is constantly with them.
Second. Thank Howie for adressing the Brian's skinny thing. Now he's looking much healthier (and hotter) but there was a time last year when I want to make a petition "feed a Brian" LOL Give that man something to eat, instead than kust wondering "oh, he's getting skinny..." NO! XD This man can't be trusted with taking care of himself. LOL
Plus, I love the hint about a freindship between Brian and Rochelle.
And I love commenting (but I think you've already deduced it lol), especially if it's a story that I really like and always look forward to the next chapter.
Author's Response: I agree that there was definitely a time when Brian was looking way too skinny. He's been looking much better recently ... not that it's really possible for the man to look bad. Haha! I think I've mentioned it before, but I really do enjoy reading your reviews. I like that you take the time to go into so much detail. Have you thought about doing the summer reading challenge this year?? You would be a great participant because you give such detailed feedback. I did it for the first time last year and it was a great experience. It's also a good way to get more people to read your writing ... people who maybe wouldn't give your story a chance otherwise. Anyways, if you're interested, Mare has started a thread about it on the discussion boards. :)

I loved that the first question Brian asked Nick, aside Wylee, was to question why he was reading fanfiction in first place. (And thank God real Brian would never read the stories that I write about him. LOL).
Second thing that I loved was how Brian was a little afraid about the consequences of Aj being on morphine. *Yeah, I'm a little bit Arok inside.*
Third: Frick and Frack against Blueberry.

Author's Response: I would DIE of embarrassment if any of them ever read any of my fan fic. Although, it's not like they would know who I am, so I suppose it wouldn't be so bad. LOL I am also a little bit ARok. I just can't help it; I find the relationship between Brian and AJ to be so interesting because they're so different. Thanks for all of the consistent feedback. It really helps to know that people are reading and enjoying the story. :)

First of all....
Nick, you really are a bad actor! lol That was your way to convince people not to perform? lol He just could break something, like accidentally spill some water over some something eletric... but it's Nick. It would be asking him too much. lol (And that's why I don't think Frick and Frack was/is only an act. Nick can't act. lol)
Second thing... I know, I'm the exception but if I had a man like Brian, I would totally do like Leighanne. Have him back home (with a plus of letting him going arpund the house with no shirt on. Oops? XD). Jokes aside (well it's not really a joke), that conversation totally seemed real, as in a conversation that could happen between married people.
Well, it goes by default that I do hope that Aj isn't paralyzed. lol

Not to be mean or anything, but the boy needs to stick with singing ... because everyone knows that he's AMAZING when it comes to singing. Hi, I just want to encourage you to keep going with this story! I've been reading it on and off, but this chapter has convinced me that I should read and review regularly. At first I thought the premise was kind of weak (Nick and his secret fanfic addiction), if rather intriguing and almost believable. But now I appreciate the way that you've tied it together with the attempt on Howie's life and begun to develop characters' relationships more during breaks in the action such as this one. I would definitely enjoy more moments like this one between Brian and Nick that could explore and even test their newly re-established friendship. Brian's probable sleeping pill dependency, his issues with Leighanne and Nick's own compulive reading habit should provide ample fodder!
Nick's internal monologues in this chapter really nicely convey his attitudes, mood and character. It also made me wish that the fight/resolution scenes you described could beccome more like flashbacks at strategic moments in the story.

Author's Response: I was so excited when I logged on and saw a review from you this morning. You gave me great feedback on my other story last summer. I like the fact that you give excellent con-crit and make me think about what I've written. I know that this story took a while to get going, and I'm pleased that you stuck with it. It took me a little bit of time to set the stage and to tie Nick's fan fiction addition to the incident with Howie. Now that I've done that I will definitely be exploring more of the relationship between Nick and Brian as well as between the other guys. The whole Frick and Frack breakup and reconciliation will likely be more of a focus above the other guys, and I hope that doesn't drive some people away. I will have to wait and see. Thanks again for taking the time to leave such great comments. :)

So many things happened in this chapter!
1) I do agree with your view of the fall out of Frick and Frack back in the day. Part of it has always been just a simle growing old, especially Brian and the being married thing. I know that the general opinion of the fan base is #BlameBrian #BadBrian because, you know, the world revolves around Nick (That's my biggest problem with Nick. No Nick himself, most of his fans. lol). As Nick said, Brian, back in the day, was really trying to protect him and teach him . When Nick started his bad road trip, I guess Brian felt as if he had failed in protecting Nick and couldn't stand to watch him ruining himself and not being able to do something. Because, in part, Nick didn't want help at that time.
(sorry for the long rant. I'm Italian! lol)
2)I've always been worried about Brian during his dark time. Though his "bad behaviour" consisted much in not sleeping and becoming skinny Brian. But I've always wondered if, at least, he got tempted to just numb the pain and the anxiety in a not so healthy way.
3) Nick's secret. I knew it had to do with fanfiction, though I thought that it could been erotica. LOL Actually, I was thinking that Nick could be a fanfic writer (and that alone it's so amusing. lol Especially considering his "you're the reason why cavemen drew on the walls") So now we have a fanfic psycopath author who writes his/her attempts of murder before realizing them. Cool! (oops. XD But, what can I say? I love Criminal Minds XD)
I do hope that Nick would do something about it. Like, you know, preventing that Aj would go crashing? XD
Ps: I do love the fact that Brian is going to have a big role in the story. More Briangst for everyone!
Author's Response: Wow! This review was like a story in itself. LOVE IT! Exploring the whole frick and frack relationship between Brian and Nick is one of my favourite things to do. I totally bought into it back in the day when I started liking the group (re: when I was 11 years old) and the notion that some (if not all of it) could have been fabricated breaks my heart. I really do believe that they were besties at one point and seeing little glimmers of them being close again is what gives me motivation to write chapters like this one. In relation to Brian's dark time ... I think that there is WAY more to it then he will ever admit publicly. Like you said, you could physically see that he was going through a rough time. I think that there's more to it then just his vocal issues ... but that's just my opinion. :P FYI, I also love Criminal Minds and it may inspire me just a little! Hahaha! Thanks again for all of your lovely insights and comments. :)

I have to admit that my heart did a little jump of happiness reading about Brian and Nick going out alone in the night (#TeamFrickNFrack forever and ever. No matter what. U.U Even if I'm a lot more a Brian's girl than a Nick's one. *gasp*). Brian, sweetie, do not throw up. Your voice is already delicate. lol
I don't think that Kevin really believes that Brian and Nick are guilty, at least not of trying to kill Howie. He's probably thinking about an already poor prunk gone utterly wrong. I mean... We're talking about Brian, the man unable to hurt even a fly! XD
