Wow, I can totally see this happening, especially with the hints earlier and the downward spiral Brian seems to be on. At the same time, it's almost a let-down as far as its impact goes--Howie is shocked, but then sits downs and tries to reason with Brian (which I think is spot-on). I think Brian benefits momentarily from knowing that the bandmate who might be the least close to him doesn't want him to quit. But at the end, we see that only a couple things have really gotten through to him, despite Howie's concern.
I hope he gets that hand looked at...
On to the next chapter I go. ;)

Author's Response: Thanks for the feedback ^^ I really needed to pick someone who would be able to stay calm when Brian obviously wasn't. Howie is the man for that, in my opinion. At this stage it's almost impossible to get through to him, I'm afraid.

I love the stories that have the Howie Brian relationship. Howie was so sweet without being over protective. He was caring without telling him what to do and making him think about what is happening in his life. U made the right choice having Howie go after him Kevin and nick are to close. Aj is trying to stay nutural.so Howie was perfect. Grate chapter. Can't wait to see how the others react to what happen in the bathroom.

You keep revealing details and I'm getting more and more anxious and worried.

I appreciate howie's kind words. They are a family and you don't just kick out family. I'm not sure if Brian is listening at this point. Especially if he is dead set on a pity party and having rage blackouts. I'd be probably doing the same thing if I was in Brian's shoes though.

Shit is hitting the fan and fast.
Great update as always!

Author's Response: I agree that it is extremely hard to change someone's mindset when they're so deep into it. It's probably why interventions barely ever really work. Shit is going to hit the fan faster than you can say Backstreet, I promise that. (We've had enough build up in the story, I presume)

I knew it.
Sadly, I knew it. Although I do kinda hope it's just a side effect of his panic attacks than something much more sneaky and serious. Something that it kinda stucks with you for all your life.

I did love the Howie and Brian relationship. Both of them have stated that they weren't close in the beginning but I think that being left alone dealing with Aj and Nick's problems after Kevin's leaving kinda brought them closer.
And the whole "you don't kick someone out when he's weak or sick" is why I love the group those past years with Brian.

Author's Response: Well, stress DOES some funny things to people (that's all I'm gonna say about it for now) And yes, the group sticking by his side has scored major points in my opinion as well. I did wonder who to come into the bathroom after Brian, but in the end Howie seemed the only one capable of approaching it from a calm, rational state of mind, if that makes sense.
