Author's Response: I was almost laughing while I was writing it. Poor Howie!! I had to give him some face-time though ... it can't be a proper group story without someone having a meltdown. In this case, it was Howie. I was going to make it Kevin, but I decided that would be too cliche. :P

Nick was so pissed when he heard Brian fooled with Lauren. I'm glad they came to an understanding concerning their wives.
I'm curious to see what kind of excuse they'll give the guys. They'll need to tell one of the guys their condition. But who?

Author's Response: I would have to assume that they whole experience was a bit surreal for both of them. I mean, how would you feel if you were watching yourself beat you up?? So weird!! They have come to an agreement concerning their wives, but I'm not sure if it will stem the jealousy on Nick's part or the fear of cheating on Brian's part. We will have to wait and see how things play out, I guess. Perhaps they will eventually tell one of the other guys what's going on, but not for a while yet. So much more drama to come!!

I think they need to let someone know about their... "situation". Who could be their adversary? I think aj would be the one who could be most convinced. Kevin and Howie may think Brian and Nick may be pulling their leg. Even if they have grown apart, who doesn't love a good prank right? Unless you are on the receiving end,I guess!
Well, now that they have beat their own bodies, they are going to have to explain to the others why they are bruised and bloody. They could say that both tripped and fell... On their faces and fists LOL.
I can't wait to find out the next move for the guys.
Author's Response: You had to know that a fight scene was coming sooner rather than later!! HAHA I agree that AJ is likely the best person for them to confide in. However, I feel as though he might not believe them at this point. Perhaps if Nick were to do something so typically Brian then AJ would be convinced?? We'll have to see what happens. It's too funny that you mentioned them telling the others that they "tripped"! I was working on the next chapter last night and Nick totally tells Kevin that he "tripped". Bahahahaha. Great minds think alike, I suppose.

Author's Response: AJ deserves Nick's spot ... at least for the moment anyways. I think, at one point, Nick knew the real Brian. The problem now is that Brian is no longer the person that Nick once knew. Brian has changed, just like Nick has. Neither one of them truly "know" each other at this point. Perhaps that will change?? You will have to wait and see!! :P

Wow, your updates were awesome. Both guys waking up in each other's bodies, singing each other's parts. It was funny reading Brian not wanting to have sex with Lauren. Nick should have told him that he can for the time being. I loved when Nick understood how he treated Brian wrong. Now he knows how it feels like to lose his voice. I don't think he was selfish. He comes across that way sometimes. I have a feeling he's actually a kind guy, but sometimes he focuses a bit too much on his needs and desires. I can't wait to read what else youo have in store for this story.

Nick's cats scare me XD They're creepy, and that's coming from someone who adores cats and treats her two cats as her babies. lol
Poor Brian. *pats his head* He didn't want to betray Nick and Leighanne and his good intentions just didn't repay him.
But, I have to say... Lauren is totally Nick's soulmates: way to be overdramatic XD Though I had expected her storming away and slamming the door behind her back. lol

I was thinking how awkward would it be for Brian to be with Nick's wife... But, the rejection is so much more awkward. He should've just got it on with Lauren. Nick wouldn't have to know... Yet. LOL
Poor Lauren, I would be so confused too. Brian needs to come up with better lies, or at least one lie, because he had nothing! WOW
Hope he fixes things with Lauren. Or else Nick is going to beat Brian, with Brian's body. LOL, what a sight.
By the way, Nick's cats are pretty tame if they are just watching from afar. My cat is rude as hell, he gets on the couch or table and puts his paw on my plate. Then the meows that come out of him, scare me until I share my food. My cat's mean.

If I was Lauren, I would have been furious and probably hit him in his junk. :P Your cat sounds creepy and mean. LOL I'm actually not a fan of cats. My family had a dog growing up and, to tell you the truth, I don't really see the point in having a cat. They just kind of slink around the house and scratch at people. Wouldn't you rather have a cute, cuddly dog instead?? That being said, many of my friends have cats and they think that they're just the greatest pets ever!! HAHA To each their own, I suppose. Oh snap! Where do I even begin??? First off, the tidbits of humor! You keep it so interesting. Brian's last comment, maaaan, someone is about to get a super reality check. I love it so much. Make Nick suffer a bit, Mwhahaha. He deserves it for being so insensitive.
Nick's thoughts about calming down had me wondering. If he accidentally dies while in Brian's body, does that mean Brian would be stuck in Nick's stinky body forever? Just a random question LOL. All I know is he better not make Brian fat! LOL. I'm not sure how long he will take up residence in that body. But contrary to Nick's belief, Brian can and has gained weight before. I'm sure he works hard to keep nice and slim. Brian has sworn to never go that route again. I can't remember which interview, but there is a video. But, wouldn't that be some nice revenge? Haha
Oh my, Brian... Nick's body, won't be able to eat what he wants either. Lauren would kick his butt. She looks strong! Hehe
Anyway, look forward to the next installment.
Author's Response: Hmmmmm I'm actually not sure what would happen if one of them were to die. I assume that the whole situation would just come to an end at that point. Re: If Nick were to kill Brian's body then Brian's mind would return to his body and Nick's mind would return to his body, leaving Brian dead and Nick alive and well and back to normal. I'm just going to have to work at keeping them both alive as the whole scenario with one of them dying is just way too complicated!! LOL Anyways, I also remember that interview where Brian talked about having gained weight and never wanting to do it again. I think it was around the time that Baylee was born as I can remember him putting on weight while Leighanne was pregnant; "sympathy weight" I suppose. :P

I was literally waiting for this very moment, the moment when Nick had to sing being Brian and could finally understand what it means to be the one whose voice is just disappearing, no matter how hard you try.
And, just out of context, I say that everyone should experience before even starting to think about judging Brian. It's so easy to talk, to assume what one is doing or not to heal or to get better is right or wrong. But you can't really know until you're living with it. Until you realize how it really feels.
So I loved Brian/Nick (I'm getting a little confused here. lol) asking Nick/Brian what he was supposed to do.
And yes, Nick, you are really that selfish. XD
Author's Response: I'm so glad that you were waiting for this moment, because I was waiting to write it! It's been on my mind for so long that Nick really needed to feel what it's like to not be able to sing without having to think about it. Perhaps this will be a turning point for the two of them?? Who knows!! HAHA You didn't really think that I would give anything away, did you?? FYI, I have to agree that Nick has been pretty selfish. I really need to make him not come across as a total A$$.

Author's Response: HAHA - The end result is probably going to be that Brian ends up wearing dirty clothes. After all, Nick's brain is now in control of Brian's body ... the poor thing!! Yes, I was thinking that you were probably going to hate Nick in this chapter, but I'm not quite done yet. So, you will probably end up growing to hate him just a little bit more in a chapter that is to come (if I continue to follow the outline that I've developed). Author's Response: The idea of AJ and Brian doing a duet makes me fangirl as if I'm 13 again!! LOL Nick and Brian haven't been besties for ages, so Nick shouldn't be at all surprised that Brian has found other people to fill his time with. That being said, since when is Nick ever a logical thinker?? In my mind, Rochelle and Brian are like boy/girl twins - their relationship is amazing but strictly platonic. I don't know why I see the two of them that way ... I must have seen them interact at one point in order to be able to build their relationship the way that I have in my stories, but I can't remember the exact moment that I decided to make the two of them super close. :P

Nick is jealous already. The secrets he could find out while he is Brian though, hmm, hehe. Don't know if I would take full advantage of that one. Just this first secret already has Nick green with envy.
I can't wait to find out Brian's reaction. And to see Nick and Brian's interaction once they get together. They are going to have to really work together to figure out a solution.
You are such a good writer, there are so many things that I want to mention but don't want to spoil for other readers that read the reviews.
I love how you write Nick and Brian. Nick is so goofy to me and the mention of
the Chinese restaurants sounds like something he would say. I feel like every word you have put into the story is thoroughly thought out. I think I've told you before, but I'll say it again and again, nothing ever feels like a filler line or chapter. Everything seems important.
Wonderful update, definitely keeping my eyes out for updates.
Author's Response: Thanks so much for your kind words! Whenever I get a comment on my actual writing (as opposed to the plot) it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. It's nice to know that my style is appreciated as well as the actual story line. My goal is to make Nick and Brian as true to life as possible, so the fact that you feel as though I write them well is very encouraging. Sometimes it's hard to write fanfic because people will stop reading if they feel that the characters aren't being presented in the right way. I'm glad that you enjoyed so many things about the chapter! The next installment will be from Brian's POV, so you won't have to wait long to find out his reaction. :)
