I'm back to reading this! This chapter confirmed what I thought was going on, with having the fans or whoever vote for things to happen to the boys. That is such a delightfully creepy premise! In this day and age of social media, I could almost see something like that really happening. In the midst of all the drama, I have to say that Kevin's line to Nick, “You act like this is the first time you’ve been in handcuffs,” made me cackle out loud. Love the comic relief, and loving this story!

I guess you need something to do now that Sick as My Secrets is wrapped up. I'm glad that you're intrigued by the premise. I totally think that this could actually happen. People are so connected to social media now that I'm surprised we haven't heard about it being used for something terrible already. LOL That was so predictable. Of course Nick was going to win (and I choose not to comment it XD). Poor Kevin, he actually climbed up in my toplist and he's really close to being my third favorite. (That depends on how Nick, or his fans, behave) but it was an impossible game against Nick. Anyone, even Brian, is probably going to lost if put against Nick.
And that's, I think, what the crazy people thought and wanted to exploit. They're not stupid (unlike those five frown men who let themselves being kidnapped like chicken. LOL)
Author's Response: Well, of course Nick was going to win!! I know this is fiction, but I had to at least make the outcome of the poll believable. HAHA - The other guys are totally screwed if it really is the kidnappers' goal to pit them all against Nick. Hopefully, they will start acting a bit smarter and figure out a way to save themselves ...

Truly gets better and better as we get to see more of the plot unfold. I am going to give these voting fans the benefit of the doubt. Maybe they think that the guys are "involved" and it's a publicity stunt or something along those lines. I mean, truly, what criminal would be so public about a kidnapping? Kind of makes this a perfect crime. I don't know if I would pay to vote, I'd be a lurker for sure. I'd think, hmmm, this is new from management, of course they know what is going on, and then I would continue to watch.... The first poll is innocent enough, but these guys are not all about the money it seems, I'm thinking the polls will go from pg to r rated, maybe when Brian and AJ arrive. I'm very curious what the polls have in store for them all.
I would have tried the key on Kevin too, BTW. Too bad the bad guys thought ahead, dangit. Although, I'm sure if Howie had been successful in cheating, there would've been some sort of punishment. These guys seem to want to inflict some pain while earning a paycheck. Perhaps a little mental and physical pain for the rich and famous is in store. They have beds and a toilet, but no shower, that's some major punishment right there. Especially how the guys talk about how funky Nick can get. Haha

Author's Response: I 100% agree with you! I doubt that I would pay to vote, but I would definitely lurk on the site and watch everything unfold thinking that it was just some random publicity stunt. However, I'm pretty sure that I would continue to watch once I found out that it WASN'T a publicity stunt. Would I pay to vote at that point? I'm not sure; although, I would definitely want to keep "my boys" safe!! HAHA You're also right in the sense that these guys are not just all about the money. Well, they definitely want the money, but they also want to have some "fun" getting it. Thanks for the review!! I always enjoy reading them! :)
