wow...I just lost the last of my grandparents 4 years ago. Doesn't matter what age you are, it's still difficult and I felt the pain myself. Well done.

Author's Response: Thank-you. My most recent loss as of right now, was my dog, this past August. Even when it's a pet, it hurts like a bitch. I'm glad you liked the story though. :)

aww thats so sad! i dont have any grandparents either....my grandpa's were all dead before i was born, and my last grandmother died when i was in second grade. I'm now goin into 9th and it sucks that my friends still have their grandparents. I liked the part at the end where it mentioned AJ McLean....overall, that was a touching story & i think you did a good job on it. :)

Author's Response: Thanks. And it does suck hearing other people ramble about their grandparents, when you know you can't 'cause it hurts too damned much.

Hey hun, I really liked your story. It was very touching and I almost cried. Can I take a wild guess? Did you write this about your own grandma? I know you and her were pretty close, and hang in there! Love ya lots!

Author's Response: Glad yah liked my lil' orignal fic gal. Normally I don't post original fiction on the Net, but this one just had to go up! And yes, it's about my Gramma. I'll let the world know how I felt then & maybe later, how I feel now - but I wont/can't tell my family. I carry this burden alone, though I know my sister carries one similar, but in a way, much deeper than mine.

I know a few people who seem to think it's harder when you're younger to deal with death, but it goes for all ages. No doubt that the pain and grief of a dear loved one can easily last a lifetime. God rest her, and God bless you, hon. Many blessings.

Author's Response: Thank-you. And I think it gets worse the older you are, as you're more used to always having them around.
