WOW! 1/4 th of the way there! I love it so far! Oh, and I have to say, that nurse, the one he signed an autograph for, as much as I hate to say it, that would SOOOOOO be me... I don't think I would be cool in those situations. I would try ;) but probably fail miserably! LOVE IT!
Author's Response: LMAO don't worry, that would so be me too. ;) She's actually based on a friend of mine, who is also a huge Bsb fan, so yeah LOL.

Oh my gosh! If I even blink right now there will be real tears streaming down my face! The last couple chapters were amazing! The emotion is so real.
Author's Response: Aww, thanks!!! :)

If I were that nurse, I wouldn't have made him put on the gown. Nick Carter flashes a smile at me and I swear its whatever he wants! -lol
by the way I'm totally loving this story. I'm very impressed with the writing. You seem to know enough of what your talking about and yet it doesn't sound like you're transfering info from a text book the way it sometimes can. Does that make any sense?
Author's Response: Thank you so much!! I did do a lot of research for this story to make it realistic, and at times, it was hard to transfer very textbook-ish information into a scene and make it read like a story and not like a textbook LOL. So I'm glad to know it doesn't sound that way to the readers!! LOL Thanks again!!

what the heck!?!?!?! What is going to happen? Please don't tell me it's something terrible, or at least not THAT terrible...
ps. I love Brian! He's so cute and you described him wonderfully in this chapter. I can totally picture him rocking his baby to sleep while gossiping about girls with Nicky! Precious!
Author's Response: I love Nick, but Brian will always be my "favorite." He seems like such a great daddy; I love writing about him like that. Thanks for the compliments! :)

HAHA this chapter reminded me of House of Carters!
You're welcome for the reviews. I try to do it as much as I can. I know how it is need the encouragement and all. lol, even if they are not exactly "constructive" I hope you enojoy them because I'm enjoying the story! sorry it's been a while but I got busy and then went on vacation so I had to put the story down for a while. Man, I have a lot of catching up to do...) (That's a GOOD thing!)
Author's Response: Thanks again!! I really do appreciate the reviews, and yes, it's definitely encouraging!! Even though this story is finished, it's still great to hear that people are reading and enjoying it, and I am still working on the sequel, so good feedback for Broken gets me more in the mood to work on its sequel. :)

Oh no Nick! Be careful!!!! Ok, so maybe she's not so bad. We really all were a bit shallow at 13, but still... I don't fully turst her. Then again, if I were Nick Carte, I don't know that I would full yturst anyone...
Author's Response: LOL, so true...
Thanks for the reviews!!! I really appreciate it. :)

Ok, so I figured it was high time I read this series. Didn't realize how much reading that was going to be when I started! lol. But, I'm excited to read it. Off to a good start Yea! A new story for me to read!
Author's Response: Aww, thanks for reading! I hope you enjoy it. I know it seems intimidating cause of how many chapters there are (believe me, I never expected it to be that long! LOL), but I've been told that if you get into it, it goes really fast. I can't really judge myself though LOL. Anyway, thanks for giving it a try, and I hope you like it! :)

Well, I must say I've been quite caught up in this story the past few days... So much so that I spent pretty much my only two days off this week reading this story straight through! lol I thought it was excellent and shocking and definitely not your typical "Nick has cancer" story. At the beginning I was very skeptical since its such an overused plot, but you researched the topic extremely well and made it very emotional. I found myself in tears in quite a few spots. I also read your alternate ending because I remember your concerns about the ending on the Ethereality board. I think you made the right desicion. Although its very tough to accept something like that happening to Nick it would be pointless to say that it was all just a dream. Anyway I;m going to stop rambling now and start the sequel LOl
Author's Response: Wow, thanks for the review!!! I'm so glad you got into the story and liked it! I really appreciate your comments because when I started this story, I set out to do exactly what you said - take an overused plot and do it some justice by writing it RIGHT - actually researching and trying my best to make it realistic and believable, without sugarcoating it too much. I've read several fanfics with the "cancer" plot, and many of them seem cheesy and oversimplified and contain huge medical errors. I'm no expert, but I've read enough to be able to recognize glaring mistakes, and I just think if you're going to write about something like this, you need to at least TRY to look something up about it and get the basics right. Then I read the "Swollen Issues" series (which you should read if you liked Broken - it's posted here on AC too), which are absolutely the best "cancer stories" I've read - they're very detailed and realistic and absolutely heartbreaking. That was my inspiration and my motivation to try to write my own story, take it in a different direction, and also make it as realistic as I could. It's not perfect, but I definitely spent a lot of time researching and trying to get things right.
Oh, just for the record, my thread on Ethereality was not about this story, but actually about its sequel. Broken has been finished for a couple of years now; I just didn't start posting it on here right away. The sequel, BMS, is also a lot further - it's on my site (check the link in my bio) if you get into it and are anxious to read further.
