Ok... so I know this will be the billionth time I've reread this (I was bored this "weekend") but I've finally got to say. Of both Broken and BMS this is my least favourite chapter. Nick's actions just seemed so random, and out of character, as if they were just to suit what needed to happen in the next chapter. Obvs I still love it, since I've read it so many times but I thought I would share that observation.
Author's Response: Thanks for the unexpected review! Random, but it's always nice to get reviews for old finished stories that people are still reading (or rereading). I thought for sure before I clicked on the chapter that this would be the Siberia chapter, but I was wrong. I know what you mean though. Unfortunately, there were several decisions about this story that I made more for the sake of not wanting the relationship to be some unrealistically perfect Mary Sue deal than for the sake of keep the characters believable... It's like in my quest to give them flaws, I took them out of character. I knew they had to have problems in their relationship to give the story some internal conflict, but I wanted to put those problems on both of them, not just one or the other. I just wasn't exactly sure how to go about doing that because there weren't obvious conflicts that jumped out at me. That's the area of the story I would probably plot differently if I could go back and do it again. Thanks for sharing your observation.

OMG!!!! I so loved this chapter!!! I LOVE the song choices! I went to a wedding a month ago and the Bride and Groom actually exited the ceremony to "I Wanna Grow Old With You".... so sweet.
I noticed that you threw Brent in there. If I remember correctly that is the first time you mentioned him in this story. We haven't heard about him since Broken.....anyways....great story. I think I go one more chapter to read...
Author's Response: Wow, that was quick!! LOL Thank you so much! I put a lot of thought into the song choices, as you can tell LOL. The music meant a lot to me. Yeah, I threw Brent in there at the end just because he hadn't been in since Broken... and I think this was at the time when he and Nick were working on their band that never panned out in real life, so I was like, "Okay, they still hang out... I'll throw him in for a little continuity." Thanks so much for reading and for your reviews, and I hope you enjoy the very end!

I agree with you...having Claire break up with Nick that way, only to get back together with Jamie, has really changed the way I look at her. I am at chapter 130, which is where claire got married, and I find myself wanting to skip over it. I am a little bored with her at the moment. I hope things get a little less angsty soon!!!!! I am still in love with this story though!

First I have to say...that I so loved when AJ humped the stage back on the Backstreets Back tour...It was my favorite...even with the super gay black see through shirt he wore. Lay Down Beside Me was my favorite song for the longest time.
However, Siberia...is my all time favorite BSB song. I love how you are tieing it in perfectly with your story line!
Author's Response: LOL that is one of my favorite moments from the Homecoming concert too! Oh AJ. And Siberia is one of my all-time favorites too, which is why I wanted to use it so badly... maybe at the risk of sacrificing Claire's character... LOL. Looking back, I think I should have just saved Siberia for a songfic instead of having Claire break up with Nick the WAY she did, but eh, I'm glad you liked how it tied in!

I wanted to tell you that I love how you are getting so much of Claires prespective this time around. In "Broken" we didn't get to see what was going on in her mind so much.

Author's Response: Thanks for all your reviews!! I love seeing your comments along the way as you read through this. It was fun writing from Claire's perspective in this story too. It gave me twice the story than if I had limited myself to Nick's again. I think Broken was Nick's story, and I liked how Claire was more of a supporting character throughout most of that one, but this story is about the two of them, so I felt like both sides needed to be shown. Thanks again for reading! :)
