oh, good one! 6 days and nothing? That brings up a lot of questions. That's a good thing though right? And why is it that the athorities in these stories always seem to be so cold and heartless? I mean I understand that they need to do their job and all, but don't you think they'd have a little compassion? Nick has just been through hell and it's not like he's a suspect. Doubt he did that too himself, ya know? I wonder if they (the cops) do that in real life. Personally have never been in a situation like that, but I can't imagine they're all mean. Or maybe people in Nick and Brian's situation are just overly sensitive... Anyway, just a thought because I see it almost every time. See it on TV a lot too. However... I'm in no way shape or form ragging on your wonderful story that has completely captivated me...

So, I am finally getting to this story. Shame on me for not doing it sooner. I've heard such wonderful things about it from practically everyone. They're right too. It's excellent so far. You've captured Nick's personna very well. (or at least how I imagine him to be.) I think my favorite part though was the very first paragraph where Nick is describing the smile on Kevin's face as he's waiting for Nick to slip. Great moment! I could see that look clear as day. Well done! It was also a nice transition from the comedy of the begining into the seriousness of the situation at the end. Good job there too. I'm looking forward to the rest, but I guess somehow I thought there'd be more to it. Is it not all posted here on AC? Oh well, I'll worry about that when I get to it. Till then!
