I don't know why I've never read this story but, based on the comments in the featured thread on the forum, I think I'm missing out! Going to power read my way through but I'll do my best to leave plenty of feedback :)

Author's Response: Oh my gosh, you're reading! How exciting! :3 Knowing that everyone's looking at it again, I feel super motivated to finish now~

Hey Christine!

Just stopping by to say "Hi" and ask if there is any chance on an update on this one. I love it and miss it. I can't believe my last review was about a year and a half ago. Take care!

Author's Response:

You're in luck! I just wrapped up a big story arc in my other fic, so now I'm going to focus on On Nightingale Hill for a bit. :D  Expect an update within the next two weeks!

Interesting start!  Wonder who or what Gunter is?

Author's Response:

Sorry for never responding to this review.  It seems to have slipped under my radar.  Hopefully, in the future we'll learn more about Gunter~

Author's Response:

Thank you!

I'm happy you're reading my story.  I'll try to keep the updates coming so you have plenty to read~

*cough*update*cough*

Man! I should really do something about that cough...haha.

=P

Seriously though, Nick & Lene are missed...just thought you ought to know lol.

Author's Response:

Ahhhh, I want to say that I will have an update up soon, but I don't know if I will ever be able to post anything again.  =(  My hard disk failed unexpectedly, taking the second half of this fic (over 30K words!) with it.  The only backup I found covers just up to the last chapter I posted here on Absolute Chaos.  I want to say that I will sit and write ONH again, but the next half of the story is probably THE most difficult part to recapture.  It was written during NaNoWriMo fever with brilliant spurts of inspiration that came from some unknown source.  I'm afraid that if I tried to rewrite those lost chapters, it wouldn't do them justice and I don't want to write a subpar version of the original story.

Maybe someday I will find the motivation to write this again.  Or maybe I will be able to restore files off that dead hard drive (highly unlikely).  In the meantime perhaps you can check out my other story "On the Rails" http://absolutechaos.net/viewstory.php?sid=9453 about Nick during the Great Depression.  It's a very different story from Nightingale Hill, but I can promise that I will update regularly and that it will be completed by the end of this year.  I miss your reviews!  It feels like all my readers for this new fic are an anti-social anonymous mob because they never review =(

I miss Nick and Lene, too.  Perhaps after I finish "On the Rails" I'll be feeling energized from finally completing a story and return to "Nightingale Hill."
