LOL, I'd forgotten about the baton! That's too funny. I could see Nick keeping a baton at his bedside to protect himself from intruders in the night. haha.
And I love how Ariel's such a little matchmaker in this chapter. It's one of the reasons I love when kids are in stories. It makes it so much more fun sometimes. :D

My favorite parts of this one are the image of Nick waking up and having the messy hair. I love that look and he sports it a lot! hehe. Is he also in athletic shorts...? ;-)
