the scene of them two holding James is just heartbreaking still full of tenderness.

Author's Response: Thank you! I'm glad you liked the scene with James, it was really hard for me to write, so I'm glad it came out the way I intended it to. I do have an outline for a third story written up, and part of a prologue, but I'm still not sure about it. Thank you very much for your feedback though :)

well, I am a sucker for AJ romances (even if they are cheesy and cliche, lol) so, you know, when you decide to write out of your little box I would LOVE to see an AJ romance by you. I kind of had to just throw that in there. lol. *grins*
Author's Response: I will try my best girlie :) It could be a fun experiment! And dude, I write Nick romance almost exclusively. So I am totally not one to care about cheesy and cliche! (I just ended my story with a wedding lol that is as cliche as it gets!)

okay Steph, first of all...congrats on finishing the story. the overall story was really well written and like I said already, I enjoy your writting style.
I think the song choice was rather fitting because it brought both stories together as a whole and depicted thier relationship from a deeper view than just 'they lived happily ever after' (even though they did, lol)
I greatly enjoyed the depth of your characters, thier flaws, thier personalities, and thier better sides. You were able to show the dick side of Nick but also the deeper, romantic side as well. I don't think you over did it when you depicted his reactions. and the same pretty much goes for Ash, too.
Your balance between drama and happiness was good. some people overdo the drama and I don't think it would have fit this story. (unlike LATB that is based on nothing BUT drama, lol) you balanced the whole story very well.
now that I have written a whole chapter ;-) I have to say that I loved it.
P.S. -you can totally start an AJ romance now *wink wink wink*

You're a sweetheart *hugs* I'm glad you like my writing style, I compare myself a lot to other authors that I look up to, so it really makes me happy when people say they like my writing :) I'm glad you liked the song choice. You have no idea how many times I listened to that song on repeat while writing this story. (Same goes for In Pieces and the Black & Blue album when writing IP) I'm really glad you liked my characters. It makes me happy that you felt they had depth because this is something I've struggled a lot with in the past. I'm also really happy you thought there was a good balance of drama and happy times, because at some points I felt like I really overdid the drama. It makes me feel really happy that you thought it was balanced out well. Your super long review is making me grin from ear to ear! Thanks so much darlin! So glad you liked the story. An AJ romance eh? Well, perhaps in the future. ;) I think that soon I'm going to have to try writing something out of my box haha!

Okay lmao maybe I should have read this before I reviewed the Epilogue. Your explanation for the song choice makes PERFECT sense because you're totally right, it was all those hardships and the times when they weren't sure if they were going to make it that made them stronger, which ultimately led to them getting married. I should have made that connection so sorry about that love!
And the plot all came from a dream eh? That's where the best ideas come from! I think it would have been overly depressing if Ashleigh would have actually gone through the birth to have James not survive, so I'm happy you stuck with what you wrote.
I understand when you say that since they're married, how much more drama could there be? So if there's not a third story, then that's cool, but if there is one, you know I'll be right along with ya rooting you on and enjoying every word. But I'm definitely excited for your other stories. They're gonna keep you busy for awhile I'm sure :)
Anyway, I said it already, but great job! I love your writing to bits and pieces. And congrats again! Mwah!

I can see where it wouldn't have made sense. Yes, the plot came from a weeeeird dream I had, which is definitely where the best ideas come from :) I was already having a hard time doing all the research, and writing the part where the find out that James died was hard enough so yeah.. that wouldn't have been fun to write. I'm glad you liked what I ended up going with :) There are a couple of bits of drama that could potentially happen to them, even though they're married now but I'm not sure it's enough to warrant a full story. Besides, I'm super excited about Left and Leaving, it will very much be different from this story so it should be fun. Thanks so much for all your lovely reviews and support buddy! Steph, I absolutely loved this story. I'm sad it's ended but everything comes to an end right? You did a wonderful job! I love this chapter and how you set it up. I like how you did little snapshots of the wedding, then put in lyrics, then did another snapshot, just so you get the main highlights of everything that's really important and not just some long winded chapter of a wedding. So very well done! I was a little confused on the song choice though. I know it has "My Happy Ending" in it but isn't it a break up song about a girl who thought it would all work out but it turns out the guy is a douche and didn't care for her at all? I just thought that was an interesting choice to encompass their wedding. But alas, it's irrelevant because I LOVED LOVED LOVED this story! How does it feel to have another story done? You've finished 2 stories and I have yet to finish mine lol Make me feel lazy why dontcha. But I'm excited for your new story and of course Inner Core so woohoo! Congrats buddy :)
Author's Response: Yeah, it's always sad to finish stories :( But, Nick and Ashleigh irritate me so much when I'm writing that I'm glad to be done with them lol. I really did not want to write out a whole long drawn out wedding scene. So yeah, also I'm obsessed with sticking song lyrics in my story so yeah.. it worked out well. There's a method to my madness with the song, I swear! But you've already read that in the Author's Note so yeah, you see where I'm coming from :) I thought I would have to explain it, otherwise people would go ".......wtf" haha. I am honestly shocked that I managed to finish two stories in the space of like... three months. I usually start stories and never finish them, so this is a huge accomplishment for me!
