Yep, still not seeing how going away to
"find herself" is helping Adie at all. She's basically doing the same thing she would've done at home, only difference is Nick would have been there to help her & maybe then she could start to really heal. I still stand by my belief that in a time of terrific sorrow that is shared, the healing needs to be done by both people TOGETHER. Adie is basically trying to block out the whole thing by being in a different country & immersing herself in her work. That will not solve anything.

Nick going to his mom was a nice touch. Her words were thought starters for Nick, and (surprisingly) I think he will take her advice.

I just don't see how Adie's use of this time is going to help them as a couple at all. She best hope that Nick's heart is still open to her & all her issues when she gets her head out of her butt and comes home. ;o)

Author's Response:

People will only acept help when they are ready. I think deep down Nick knows that and it's the reason he let her go in the first place. But you are right in what you are saying, she is blocking everything out n the hopes that she won;t remember, it's something she has done in the past and it didn't work but she hasn't learnt from that mistake!

Trust me Nick is going to take her advice but not straight away which I think a lot of you will find frustrating!

Thanks for the review hun! x

Okay so before I start the review of this chapter I want you to answer your reply to my post on the last chapter. Yes I know it was me who said that "Adie has to love herself before she can love someone else. But still in my eyes this journey she has taken isn't something she should do right now. She needs to deal with the pain and nip it in the but per say then go on her trip and "find yourself"

Okay onto the NEW REVIEW.

You are right I am upset with Adie even more in this chapter. First of all she left, suddenly. Secondly she can't even be a big girl and send a letter to Nick? And lastly she did what we all knew she would do; close up and throw herself into her work. I knew she would do it but, I was secretly hoping that she would surprise me and do the opposite of what I had thought. Sadly she didn't, she is letting everyone down including herself. She is continuing to hurt herself by not grieving or talking to anyone about what she is going through. And sadly I don't see this trip going very well for her or Nick.

Okay I have to throw this in here, how you included Nick in Marathon in this chapter was a little ironic at the moment because as of right now, Nick and all the Boys (minus Howie) are here in Florida for Q's wedding. I just thought that was funny. Anyway, it surprised me very much that Nick went to his mother in this chapter. She was the very last person I thought he would go too, but I'm glad he did. I was also very shocked that she talked to him the way she did. I'm glad she gave him the "advice" or the "eye openers" that she did. He needs to see that he himself isn't the only one to blame here. I hope that he tries to get in touch with Adie or something.

All in all I hope that things work out for them soon. I also hope she comes to her senses and deals with her emotions before they eat her alive and cause her to have a breakdown. I know how those are and she can't handle something like that, especially if Nick isn't around. Good chapter and I hope you update soon!!!!!

Author's Response:

You are completly right about Adie. She is throwing herself into her work and not doing what she said she was going to. She is going to realise that really soon!

I di dhave a chuckle myself when I read Nick's twitter page! I thought it was important to show Nick going to his Mother and reconsiling with her, it shows how much he has grown within the story. I think she offered some sound advice and it's good because it's impartial to an extent as she doesn't know Adie.

Thanks for the review hun!

I really liked this chapter...I think you did a good job of gauging where both Nick and Adie were, and you covered some of the things that I found so frustrating about the last chapter.  I loved the conversations between Nick and his mom...great moment, and I loved to hear more about how Nick was feeling.  Adie is coming to some realizations too, I liked her more in this chapter than I have in a long time.  I still think that they both need to grieve together and need each other to get better, but oh well...maybe you will surprise me.

I wish I had your mojo, you are updating so regularly.  I'm afraid I've lost mine lately, I need to get on it!  So you need to send some writing vibes over to me!  Great job!  More soon!

Author's Response:

Hi hun! I have just noticed that you updated Casual! EKKK!!!!! I will be of to read it as soon as I have answered my reviews!!!!

I'm glad that you liked this chapter better. The next one is going to be even more of an eye opener! I thought it was important to show that nick has fianlly realised that he needs his Mom and what she said to him is going to play a big part firther in the story. Adie is still Adie and I don't think she has come to terms with the fact that she isn't working through her problems. That will come with time I promise!

The onyl reason I am updating to regularly is because I am on a strict deadline now! I start my degree on the 15th of June and between that, working full time and moving house I know there is going to be no time for writing! I want to at least get this story finished and leave my others on hold until after life returns to some what normal! LOL!

Thanks for the review hun and I can't wait to read Casual! x

You can't imagine how happy I was to see that you updated. I check everyday and it made my day to see that you did. On that note...Adie is going to break up with Nick isn't she? I really like that you had Nick go to his mother and work things out with her. I like how you wrote her in the story...and not just made her bitchy. Please update soon!

Author's Response: Aww thanks hun I'm glad you are enjoying the story that much! I am not giving anything away with what is written in the letter or what Adie might or might not be doing. You will just have to wait and see! Thanks for the review!
