great story. had me in tears a lot. mainly because im starting nursing school and Im still not sure if I want to get into peds/ oncology because I know it will kill me yet I really want to be able to spend time with those kids and do something and this story is kind of encouraging me to go in that direction. are you a nurse or is this all just fictional?

I am actually in the process of becoming a CCLS (Certified Child Life Specialist) working with children in pediatric hospitals. At this point it's mostly volunteer work at UK Children's Hospital but that will lead to an internship. It's such a rewarding experience and though I thought it would be heartbreaking I have to say the happy/special moments far outweigh the painful ones. Good luck again! I'm glad my story is giving you encouragement!

Aww man... I wanted to know what she as having! Lol I'm impatient I guess. I wouldn't be able to resist not knowing I think. So she has very strong willpower.
