Okay, now I'm worried about AJ too. He seems happy and content when he's able to kill them zombies, but when there's some down time to relax, he's all alone, brooding in his thoughts. But I guess that's just how he is.
Should keep him away from the drinks though
Author's Response: Here AJ actually has clinical depression so while finding a real purpose helps, he still has to learn how to escape those brooding thoughts. It's part of who he is.
Yeah, he needs to stay away but as an addict, it's not easy.

Okay, resa is way behind in her reading. But, like always, I must say good chapter! Its an awesome insight into AJ and what hes thinking. He has come across as this bad ass who has no faith, no....morals in a way. But even the mere thought of being the last and only ten people has gotten to him!

Author's Response: Hey it's okay! We love random reviews too lol. AJ...he just thinks differently. He has no faith in the sense of religion, and has his own trust issues. But this is forcing him to try and believe in something, even if it's not God. Thanks!

Ok ladies! I'm all caught up and this makes me very sad. Because now I have to wait. *twiddles thumbs*
First off, for a recent review...love this new tidbit about Howie. It makes him seem vulnerable and likeable. Next, I'm also very interested in Brian's storyline. It's like everything he believed was wrong (or so he feels). I wonder if he's going to reveal who he really was in his former life and how the others will react.
Ladies, this story is incredible. Seriously. I'm so glad I started reading. I absolutely love it and I should let ya'll know that I am a VERY picky ff reader. So thank you for this story so far. It's so different, very well written, and has so many layers. I love how deep it is and it doesn't just gloss over the BSB or anything but looks into humanity as a whole and them as deeper people. I love this. It's EPIC and I'm gonna put this story up there with one of my favorites. :)
Author's Response: LOL, hopefully we'll have a new chapter up soon. Howie...it's like AJ said, there's always layers, even with Howie :). Brian, man you love reading his storyline, we love writing it for the same reasons. I mean where do you go when you learn (in his eyes) that everything you lived for and believed in was a lie? We are so flattered you love our story so much. It just means so much because of all the work we put into making this story the best that it can be, We try our best to give depth beyond the "ewww zombies" awesomeness (cause how do you not love zombies lol), and show there's more than one plot running through. Alright; after... lord knows how long, I FINALLY caught up with this story. My gosh, I don't know WHY I waited this long to read this precious gem of this fanfic site, but in a sense, I'm kinda glad I did because it FINALLY gave me something good to read. As I've shared before, I have been this interested in a story since Mare's Thirteenth Step. This story is amazingly written, so vivid and descriptive, not that I thought it would be anything less, given the authors that came together to collab on this story. But it was amazing how a visual image played in my head the WHOLE time I was reading the story. I was just blown away at how acute and natural all the dialogue and interactions came. I was seriously watching a movie by just reading. I seriously can't say enough about this story, but... keep up the good work, as if ya'll won't. :P I seriously look forward to the upcoming chapters. Okay, I'm gonna stop my review here before I post a novel. Until the next review for the next chapter! :)

another great chapter, glad Gabby got to go out with the boys. But man, AJ's alcoholism is really getting to him, huh? I loved it - but I miss hearing about my nick haha although the part where he was massaging Riley's shoulders was cute ;)

Aww that was nice of Howie to bring some sunglasses back for AJ. Poor AJ though, he does seem to be suffering but won't open up about it.
I wonder if they will eventually find more survivors?
Can't wait for more, loving this story so much :)

Beautiful update. Liked how Nick saved Riley, and how AJ likes to paint, I identified with that. He is one of my favorite people. I also thought the sunglasses gift was cute, Howie surprises me sometimes. Loving the story, can't wait for more

Awesome chapter, as usual! LOL I really liked the mention of how closed off Brian is and how his wounds haven't begun to heal because I am surprised he has not just snapped yet.
I don't think he even told anybody he was the one to kill his family, did he?
I love all the characters' storylines, but his just intrigues me more. But, he's my fave and I am bias. LOL
