Always and Forever

Alone in the world you see many faces

They hold no significance to you

But you long to be them

To live their lives so you won’t be alone anymore.

For you life is filled with sorrow, deceit, anger, and betrayal.

And theirs is filled with kindness, love, compassion, and friendship.

You look in their eyes past the fears, past the doubt,

And you see the good in their life.

People look into your eyes past the anger, past the sorrow, and past the betrayal.

They see everything you have looked over.

For you look over every ounce of good you posess and you see the bad.

You feel unloved and alone.

But, you look over the one person who can make it worth it.

Worth living another day,

And you don’t feel as alone as before.

That person can be anyone,

Even the stranger on the street

Or, it could be your brother.

Not by blood, but by friendship.

Even though you have felt the pain of being alone,

You won’t have to experience that pain again.

Your pain will be eased

Because now you have someone by your side,
