I got to thinking the other day
What if I constructed wings
So I could fly with you?
I got to wondering if the rainbow
Would come back now that you’re gone.
Will the flowers still bloom?
Will the birds still sing?
Would the angels cry
tears of sadness like me
or would they cry tears
of happiness like God?
What if I built a house in the clouds
So I could live with you in the stars.
If I built my house among the clouds,
Would you stay with me forever?
Would the stars shine brighter
Now that you are among them?
Would I be able to fly with you?
Would I be able to look
At another rainbow without crying?
Would I finally one day
Be able to cry tears of happiness?
