The path was dark and cold

The light was gone from my eyes

I thought it was useless to keep on trying

Because I was too far in the dark.

But, you came along

And showed me the way

You lit my path.

I was clinging on for dear life

And you caught me and pulled me back over.

You promised me that I would never be alone again.

I believe you now more than ever.

When you cry because I am crying

When you laugh because I am laughing.

I sit up at night in wonder

Of why God gave me someone like you.

Maybe it's because you and I both needed each other.

Or maybe it's because you were

meant to show me how I was loved.

Either way, I'm glad I have you

Because I am never alone.
