I really miss the person this poem is about. I haven't talked to him in a while and it's really getting to me. I wrote this poem sometime last year after I graduated high school last June.
Dear Friend,
I guess I thought you’d always be mine. I never imagined that we’d part. Somehow you snuck in and stole my heart. I guess that I imagined I had yours too, but neither of us made a move. We’ve wasted time, oh so much of it. How can we get it back? We shouldn’t have been so stupid, we should’ve seen. Everyone else did. So this is my plea to you: please see what I feel for you. You mean so much to me and I don’t want to lose all the fun that we had. And now I leave you with this: “What would have happened if we had ever kissed?”
