Hey, this is a poem I wrote when I was in a funny mood. I hope you like it. Don't forget to review. ~sungoddess

That One Moment

As night falls upon my eyes

I am plagued by fears of the unknown

Who, what, where, when, and why?

No one knows the answers.

So here we sit idly waiting and watching.

It seems that all we do all our lives

Is watch and wait for that moment

That made life worth living.

The moment where all our tears of sadness,

Our cries of helplessness, our prayers for peace

Were gone, and we could breath deeply

And say, "this is it

This is what I have waited for."

But, what then do we have to live for?

We go through life saying goodbye to some,

Carrying memories of a face and a voice gone forever.

It becomes a pat of bitter reality

That no man, woman, or child

Can live forever.

Only their voices echoing in our head

Only their faces flashing in front of our eyes.

But, that is all we need to go on,

And continue waiting for that very moment

Where God seems to kiss our pain away,

And that moment will live on forever in our hearts

Where everything was made worthwhile.

All our pain and suffering for one glorious moment

And an entire lifetime filled with peace.
