In the months to come Kevin decided he would host a party on Carmen’s behalf for having over half of her new album done and ready to be released. The guys were getting ready to discuss how they were going to be doing the up coming tour for the album ‘Black & Blue’.

“So when is your birthday again?” Kevin asked Carmen.

“Two days from now…believe me I am looking forward to it. My mom really won’t be able to tell me what I can and cannot do”

“I hear you. I know how that feels.” Kevin smiled and walked over to AJ. Carmen decided to investigate Kevin’s house in Orlando. She had never seen anything so big, nor with so many rooms. She took a tour upstairs Carmen walked into a room filled with instruments of all kinds, pianos, keyboards, guitars, and drums and everything imaginable. It was every instrument player’s dream.

“I wonder why he has all of this?” Carmen questioned as she got closer to the piano. She saw a song with the words and notes written out. Carmen set her drink down on the top of the piano and placed her hands on the keys and lightly started to play the song that was written on the piano.

Young girl don’t cry I’ll be right here when Your world starts to fall Young girl it’s all right Your tears will dry you’ll soon Be free to fly

When you’re safe inside your room You tend to dream Of a place where nothing’s harder than it seems No one ever wants to bother to explain Of the heartache life can bring And what it means

When there’s no one else look inside yourself Like your oldest friend just trust the voice within Then you’ll find the strength That will guide your way You’ll learn to begin to trust the voice within

Young girl don’t hide You’ll never change if your just run away Young girl just hold tight Soon you’re gonna see your brighter day

Now in a world where Innocents is quickly claimed It’s so hard to stand your ground When you’re so afraid No one reaches out a hand for you to hold When you look outside look inside to your soul

When there’s no one else look inside yourself Like your oldest friend just trust the voice within Then you’ll find the strength That will guide your way You’ll learn to begin to trust the voice within

Life is like a journey It can take you anywhere you choose to go As long as you’re learning You’ll find all you’ll need to know (be strong) You’ll break it (hold on) You’ll make it Just don’t for sake it because No one can tell you what you can’t do No one can stop you You know what I’m talking to you

When there’s no one else look inside yourself Like your oldest friend just trust the voice within Then you’ll find the strength That will guide your way You’ll learn to begin to trust the voice within

“Carmen I didn’t now you could play the piano?” Carmen turned around and it was Kevin. She felt so embarrassed.

“Well, you never asked so I didn’t say anything”

“Do you like that song?”

“Very much wonderful message”

“I wrote it especially for you”

“You did?”

“Yea, a while back just something I thought about. I wrote it like 4 months ago when you told us your “secret” and you were telling me about your mom”

“Thanks Kev…I never had anyone write me a song before…it was very thoughtful of you” Kevin sat down next to Carmen and smiled.

“Your welcome” Carmen looked at Kevin and started to lean in closer to Kevin.

“Hey guys we’re starting to cut the cake downstairs,” Brian said popping his head in.

“I guess we better get downstairs eh?”

“Yea, I guess we should.”
