“Don’t worry about it C you’ll do great! Don’t even think about how many people are out there. Even though it’s the most you’ve ever sung in front of…all you have to do is just do your best and just hope nothing goes wrong,” Nick said.
“Thanks Nick…I can’t believe all this is real…I mean just like what 9 months ago I was in high school my senior year with your sister…the captain of the cheerleading squad and now I am singing in front of 40,000 people. I never would have expected anything like this to have happened and if it wasn’t for you and the guys…I would have never gotten this far,” Carmen said as she gave Nick a hug.
“You are welcome C…you deserve this more than anybody…and by the way nice costume and great first song selection by the way,” Nick smirked.
“You ass you took a peek didn’t you?”
“Maybe”
“Asswipe…that was supposed to be a surprise” she hit Nick in the arm.
“Okay I am sorry my gosh…I didn’t mean to jeez you didn’t have to do THAT. But I am being serious though that is one of my favorite songs you have done for the album”
“Thanks Nicky that means a lot”
“Is he bothering you?” Kevin said kissing Carmen.
“Nah, just giving me a hard time as usual” she laughed.
“Well you are going to be on in like 10 minutes I hope you are ready”
“I am only as ready as I’ll ever be”
“Okay you better go into the dressing room and finish up whatever you need to do and then you are on”

Carmen saw all the lights were off as she walked out onto the stage. She heard the screams of fans. Carmen was still very nervous…40,000 screaming fans was a lot of people…the largest she had ever done. Suddenly the lights turned on…and there she saw all the faces of the fans…she couldn’t believe how many fans really loved them.
“What fans wouldn’t do,” she thought. Carmen was not standing at the edge of the stage.
“How is everybody doing? Well I hope you enjoy the show tonight. My name is Carmen Coleman and I was signed with the guys after they heard me at Howie’s club at a karaoke night. And believe me there isn’t a day that I don’t thank them for signing to their label. Anyway, my album ‘Who I Am’ just came out I believe we are selling it at intermission and I am signing autographs as well…enjoy the show my first song is called ‘Cold Day In July’

“Again, thank you for the wonderful time…I enjoyed singing to you guys you all are awesome…and thank toy to my high school choir for joining me on the voice within…and don’t forget I am signing autographs during intermission thank you again Orlando…and enjoy the Backstreet Boys up next.” Carmen walked off stage and saw Kevin standing there waiting.
“You were wonderful…they loved you” Kevin said giving her a kiss and a hug.
“Really? Do you think they liked me?”
“Carmen they loved you” Carmen soon saw the rest of the guys come walking down the hall.
“Carmen you were great…how does it feel singing in front of 40,000 fans?” Nick said as he pretended his hand was a microphone.
“Great! It was amazing….now if you guys excuse me I have some autographs to go and sign”
“Okay I guess I will see you after the show”
“Yep. And good luck out there guys”
“ We need all the luck we can get” Carmen gave Kevin one quick kiss and hug, as she was off to go and sign the autographs for fans.
“I never thought this could ever happen to me…I am just glad I got the chance to do this…truly amazing…” Carmen thought on her way to the signing.
