O...m...g... Who can stop these tears?
You can.

I love that it's Nick there with Leighanne. Just seems right.

Oh man, he was aware for like a millisecond, then gone? I need chocolate.

Well that's rough. I commend Howie for being so strong.

It's tough being the one that everyone goes to for a shoulder to cry on. Who does that person then turn to? Always being the one to keep it together is hard work. So kudos for being the glue Howard.

Great update. Poor Brian, poor everybody! Always hoping for the best though.

Describing Brian waking up to leighanne, I imagine Leighanne looking at Brian as she did in that e video from their interview about their wedding. The one where he sings the song you are and she has tears in her eyes. It was a look of pure love.

I am happy to hear he is awake, but seems like a long road to recovery. And uh oh to him feeling guilty about something else.

Wow, un-break my heart! Yes, sometimes you let a few tears fall and the rest will follow. When it rains it pours right?

I am dreaming for a miracle, but either way, it's been a great read. I'm on board whatever ship you decide to sail.

Just remind me not read before work again, because I was like, miss quiver lip, red eyes, sniffles this am. I was a hot mess, but without the hot.

Great updates!

Summary: All Baylee wanted was for things to return to the way that they used to be. He was so tired of the bickering and the blaming that he was willing to do almost anything to make it stop. Eventually, Baylee’s desperation causes him to make an impulsive decision that produces a potentially disastrous situation and leaves him wondering if two of the most important people in his life will ever reconcile.

Ooh, very intriguing! You have my attention so far. I like the idea of them stepping into each others shoes.
Poor Baylee! It sucks to watch the people you love fight. I know this will make a great read.

Looking forward to what you write next. The ... transition. hehehe :)

Author's Response: Thanks so much for taking the time to leave a comment! I'm so glad that I've managed to capture your attention so far. I know that this story-line has been done before, but I felt like putting my own spin on it. Anyways, I hope that you continue to read and review as I always like to know what people are thinking. :)

I love angry, cursing Brian. LOL, oh how Nick brings out the best in him.

I feel a blow up argument coming. Will the fists be flying?

The tension sure got thick fast.

Oh, and poor cherubs!

Author's Response: I also love angry, cursing Brian. There's something about him dropping the f-bomb that makes him seem more "real" to me. I hate when he tries to come across as this "perfect" man as it makes him seem too self-righteous. I prefer it when he's willing to admit that he has faults. Anyways, you will have to wait and see if the boys end up coming to blows. What fun would it be if I gave away the surprise?? LOL

LMAO, the "I wanted to cry like Brian" line. Oh man, had me rolling!

Nick is jealous already. The secrets he could find out while he is Brian though, hmm, hehe. Don't know if I would take full advantage of that one. Just this first secret already has Nick green with envy.

I can't wait to find out Brian's reaction. And to see Nick and Brian's interaction once they get together. They are going to have to really work together to figure out a solution.

You are such a good writer, there are so many things that I want to mention but don't want to spoil for other readers that read the reviews.

I love how you write Nick and Brian. Nick is so goofy to me and the mention of
the Chinese restaurants sounds like something he would say. I feel like every word you have put into the story is thoroughly thought out. I think I've told you before, but I'll say it again and again, nothing ever feels like a filler line or chapter. Everything seems important.

Wonderful update, definitely keeping my eyes out for updates.

Author's Response: Thanks so much for your kind words! Whenever I get a comment on my actual writing (as opposed to the plot) it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. It's nice to know that my style is appreciated as well as the actual story line. My goal is to make Nick and Brian as true to life as possible, so the fact that you feel as though I write them well is very encouraging. Sometimes it's hard to write fanfic because people will stop reading if they feel that the characters aren't being presented in the right way. I'm glad that you enjoyed so many things about the chapter! The next installment will be from Brian's POV, so you won't have to wait long to find out his reaction. :)

I was thinking how awkward would it be for Brian to be with Nick's wife... But, the rejection is so much more awkward. He should've just got it on with Lauren. Nick wouldn't have to know... Yet. LOL

Poor Lauren, I would be so confused too. Brian needs to come up with better lies, or at least one lie, because he had nothing! WOW

Hope he fixes things with Lauren. Or else Nick is going to beat Brian, with Brian's body. LOL, what a sight.

By the way, Nick's cats are pretty tame if they are just watching from afar. My cat is rude as hell, he gets on the couch or table and puts his paw on my plate. Then the meows that come out of him, scare me until I share my food. My cat's mean.

Brilliant update, always look forward to the next.

Author's Response: Poor Brian! You're right in the sense that he had NOTHING to justify his hehavour. Lie, Brian, lie! If I was Lauren, I would have been furious and probably hit him in his junk. :P Your cat sounds creepy and mean. LOL I'm actually not a fan of cats. My family had a dog growing up and, to tell you the truth, I don't really see the point in having a cat. They just kind of slink around the house and scratch at people. Wouldn't you rather have a cute, cuddly dog instead?? That being said, many of my friends have cats and they think that they're just the greatest pets ever!! HAHA To each their own, I suppose. Thanks again for the feedback. I'm working on the next update. :)

A fight scene, yes! I love it. LOL

Well, at least they have come to an understanding on the wife front.

I think they need to let someone know about their... "situation". Who could be their adversary? I think aj would be the one who could be most convinced. Kevin and Howie may think Brian and Nick may be pulling their leg. Even if they have grown apart, who doesn't love a good prank right? Unless you are on the receiving end,I guess!

Well, now that they have beat their own bodies, they are going to have to explain to the others why they are bruised and bloody. They could say that both tripped and fell... On their faces and fists LOL.

I can't wait to find out the next move for the guys.

Author's Response: You had to know that a fight scene was coming sooner rather than later!! HAHA I agree that AJ is likely the best person for them to confide in. However, I feel as though he might not believe them at this point. Perhaps if Nick were to do something so typically Brian then AJ would be convinced?? We'll have to see what happens. It's too funny that you mentioned them telling the others that they "tripped"! I was working on the next chapter last night and Nick totally tells Kevin that he "tripped". Bahahahaha. Great minds think alike, I suppose.

LOL to Brian being awkward around Lauren hehe.

I love how Nick and Brian are being forced together. I need them to work out their problems. All this fighting is not good for the soul. No wonder they body switched!

I can't wait to see how Nick deals with Leighanne. I'm hoping he blows up, he's such a ticking time bomb. I just realized... Maybe Baylee will recognize, that his dad, is not his dad. Is he the in?

Yes, I'm forever guessing what is next.

Btw, love the fact that everyone knows how much they need each other, including them. Damn then for not being able to admit it to each other.

Author's Response: I'm so glad that you're constantly trying to figure out what's coming next. To me, that means that you're invested in the story; which is amazing!! I also need for Brian and Nick to work things out. Writing about them disliking each other is hurting MY soul!! :P If nothing else, Brian and Nick both seem like they can be very stubborn so I can totally see the two of them wanting to make amends but neither of them having the courage to say the first word. Good for the others and forcing them together!

Oh snap! Where do I even begin??? First off, the tidbits of humor! You keep it so interesting. Brian's last comment, maaaan, someone is about to get a super reality check. I love it so much. Make Nick suffer a bit, Mwhahaha. He deserves it for being so insensitive.

Nick's thoughts about calming down had me wondering. If he accidentally dies while in Brian's body, does that mean Brian would be stuck in Nick's stinky body forever? Just a random question LOL. All I know is he better not make Brian fat! LOL. I'm not sure how long he will take up residence in that body. But contrary to Nick's belief, Brian can and has gained weight before. I'm sure he works hard to keep nice and slim. Brian has sworn to never go that route again. I can't remember which interview, but there is a video. But, wouldn't that be some nice revenge? Haha

Oh my, Brian... Nick's body, won't be able to eat what he wants either. Lauren would kick his butt. She looks strong! Hehe
Anyway, look forward to the next installment.

Author's Response: Hmmmmm I'm actually not sure what would happen if one of them were to die. I assume that the whole situation would just come to an end at that point. Re: If Nick were to kill Brian's body then Brian's mind would return to his body and Nick's mind would return to his body, leaving Brian dead and Nick alive and well and back to normal. I'm just going to have to work at keeping them both alive as the whole scenario with one of them dying is just way too complicated!! LOL Anyways, I also remember that interview where Brian talked about having gained weight and never wanting to do it again. I think it was around the time that Baylee was born as I can remember him putting on weight while Leighanne was pregnant; "sympathy weight" I suppose. :P

Well, when shit hits the fan, it really hits huh?

But Howie, come back! They are getting a little better. Sometimes you just gotta fight it out, quite literally.

But, I get where Howie is coming from. Especially when you are the one who everyone leans on for support. Sometimes, you just blow. Who's the tea kettle now? LOL

I hope they can at least convince Howie that they are getting along. They need a code word for when they are about to duke it out. Like spam, or something outrageous that will make the fight stop. Heh

Well, have a happy new year and thanks for the update before the year is up! Hope the new year brings you many blessings.

Author's Response: I figured that if Howie was going to have a meltdown that he should have a massive one. Go big or go home, right?? Hopefully, dumb and dumber will be able to speak to one another and convince Howie that he needs to come back. As much as I tend to overlook Howie, the group really wouldn't be the same without him. OMG - the image of Brian and Nick yelling "spam" at one another has me dying!! Too funny!! I hope 2016 is off to a good start for you and that you had a lovely holiday celebrating with family and friends. :)

OK, so I just went back and re-read killing me softly, love the angst and suspense. Great story, and this sequel is great as well.

Love Bonnie's point of view. She is going through the motions with Brian as her owner, but love her for sure. Just a little scared for her though. Brian seems... Snappable. Not a word, but for my sake, it is.

I know Brian is trying, and from what he has been through, I can't blame him for being so jumpy. I don't know if I would go anywhere without security for the rest of my life. It's hard to get back to normal after coming back from hell. Is there a normal after that?

Well, I hope you continue.

Author's Response: Brian is definitely the one you should be afraid for (and maybe of) He's pretty much a ticking time bomb, but let's hope that the consequences are overseeable. It's the question if 'normal' is still a thing Brian knows how to handle.

Uh oh, shit just got real for two more members of the group. And just like men, they would wait so long to start searching for Howie and making phone calls.

Poor Leigh, stuck at home with two children while her man is missing.

Come on Kentucky cousins to the rescue, lol.

Where in the world is Howie and will he be okay? Oh the suspense!!

Great update, excited for the next one.

Author's Response: Typical male response from team Kentucky in this chapter - Hmmmm, Howie didn't show up today ... maybe we should do something about it?! *face palm* If one of my friends didn't show up to a scheduled event, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't wait hours upon hours to call her husband. Just sayin'!! HAHA I think if Howie is placing his faith in Brian and Kevin to save him, he's in trouble!! TYFTR :)
