I'm a 21 year old peadiatric nurse who has been a backstreet fan since the dawn of time, or so it seems. I have been writing fanfiction for a while but most of them have sucked. They tend to be short because of my attention span and the fact that I think of interesting things to write that don't fit in with story line. I am currently writing a sequeal to a story that is hosted on Dreamers sanctuary called Always. Most of my stories are about or include Nick. In my spare time I like to read books by Jodi Picoult I think she is just amazing! If you haven't read Nineteen minutes, My sister's Keeper or Second Glance go and do it now! My Fave Fanfics include: Oreo's for Breakfast, Broken and By My Side (Kudo's to Julie for such a fantastic ending, even if I am sad it's all over now!) Under My Skin and A Litte Taste of Sin by Mellz Bellz and Shades of Gray by Kelly. |

I don't know if she was turned on so much by his possessiveness because of the alcohol - I think it was more his masculinity...there is something about seeing a guy get mad that can get you going sometimes, I know that sounds weird...

I'm glad that she finally admitted that she has troubles, she just needs to be more open when they are together. Easier said then done though, I'm the kind of person who finds it easy to write stuff down but when I actually have to talk to someone face to face it becomes almost impossible. So I do see where she is coming from.

It is definitely a two way street...let's hope that she does the same thing...and, Nick knowing he needs to do something and actually doing it are two different things...and this is a pretty big thing...so we shall see!

I love how Quinn berated herself for callng it their room, and how she was second guessing herself the whole time, should I be here, shouldn't I be here. I think it's good that she did go because it shows Nick that it isn't one sided, that she is also willing to work at their relationship (sounds very similar to another lead female I know! LOL!)
That said it's not going to be easy, and I was a bit disappinted when Nick's first reaction was to get her into bed, but I was extremely proud of Quinn for saying no because if it was me I know there would have been no chance in he'll if me turning that down!!
I am looking forward to the next chapter! I think I am about to fail miserably with updating this week!!! How are the teeth? X

Shocking, huh? An update from me...I almost couldn't believe it myself!
Quinn is not in a good place...she is second guessing everything, she's confused about what she is feeling and she isn't really thinking clearly. All of that said, I think it is going to be really good for her to open up to Nick. Nick is also a mess, he is reacting badly and is an emotional wreck too. There are so many emotions and other things that are going to come into play here, so much to be fixed and two people that have no idea how to do it. Nick's reaction was very Quinn-like, but they bare so many similarities...one step forward, two steps in another direction.
The teeth are better, I am still numb which is a major bummer, but oddly, I am getting used to being numb as strange as that sounds. I am just ready to be back to normal! Good luck on an update, I'm ready for more Nick and Adie! XO!
I loved it. I love how Nick opened up and the whole date and how he was a gentleman about the whole thing. It totally freaked Quinn but maybe thats what she needs right now. It's not about the sexual connection anymore, they know they have that, they have to work out if they work without the sex! Nick is very smart!

Quinn is definitely freaking...we will hear from her inner monolouge in the next chapter, or so I plan at the moment. Nick is definitely trying something different, thanks in large part to AJ's advice...we will see how this all shakes out. There is A LOT more to come...

Ohhhhh! I'm still not convinced that something won't happen with Jake, even if it is just Nick's jealousy causing friction but I loved it, especially the end and I can't wait for more!

I loved it. I so had visions of her running but I am so glad she didnt. I think what Quinn said in her article was totally true, she doesn't have to tell him she loves because he knows that she does, and I love how Nick is throwing her a party! I have a feeling that something is going to come up and steal all this lovey nice, heart warming stuff from me though!!! Good job!

Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it. I think she couldn't run after everything they had been through since Vegas...too much has happened for her to just walk away. He does know that she has feelings for him, and as he said/thought, that is enough for now. Will it always be? We'll have to wat and see. YAY!!!!!!!! An Update! Just typical that it was on the day were I needed to quickly check email before I had to go out! All day I have been thinking I can't wait to read it and it didn't disapoint!
Quinn reminded me a lot of Adie in this chapter ( A side of Adie you will soon see!) She doesn't want to get hurt and Nick is so far under her skin that he could do it easily but she doesn't see that by holding back shje could possibly be doing them damage!

Awww...I'm glad you took the time to sit down and read it! I think that Quinn is grasping, she knows that if she A) admits it to herself it becomes true and B) she is in way too deep and is holding onto the last little thing she can control. I'm not sure if she even knows she loves him yet, I think she has surpressed her emotions so much that they are a big ol' jumbled mess and she doesn't know how to classify what this is...I think it is scary when you have never felt something before. I have been in countless relationships and even loved someone/been in love more than once, and every time it is different because the person is different.

I have to say at first I was slighty out raged that Nick didn't wake her to say goodbye. Then when I read the rest I just wanted to give him the biggest hug!
It's got to be so hard to be that in love with someone and not know for sure whether they feel the same about you. I mean I think he does know but she isn't telling him and I think it has made him so insecure about himself. She needs to come clean to him! Great update Lady!

Now withthe whole Jake thing - Nick needs to chill out a bit! YA! Yes, we are making progress...absence is making Quinn's heart grow fonder, or at least making her think about things she hasn't allowed herself to think about before. The whole situation is so emotionally charged between them right now. Even though Nick thinks he left things in a lurch, he probably couldn't have left them in a better way, really.
I am so glad you said that about Nick needing to chill with Jake...I was wondering if anyone was picking up on how irrational he was being. Sure, we have only seen his thoughts, but we know that he has major jealousy issues when it comes to Jake that stem from his own insecurities and relationship baggage. We also know that Nick has a firey temper...this could be a potentially bad combination, don't you think?

The whole Jake issue is just concerning me yet again! I think Quinn is definetly picking up on the jealousy that not only Nick has for Jake but the Jake had for Nick. The problem is I think she is going to feel guilty because she was the one that left Jake and with Nick being an asshole about her seeing Jake? I have a feeling it could push her into the closest mans arms which would be dun dun dun JAKE!!! Please don't let that happen!

Yes! The big thing I wanted to get across in this chapter is that they both admitted that they are boyfriend/girlfriend!!! Which has implications of its own and only adds fuel to what is coming up!!! Quinn is being very accepting of the idea, and if you notice, Nick is starting to get a little flipped out by it. He has some issues...it will be interesting to see how they impact everything.
Jake is going to stir the pot a bit, for Nick more than anything. Quinn does have a TON of guilt when it comes to Jake, and when you add some other stuff that was tough for her to that...well, I just can't right now, but everything that may have seemed random earlier in the summer will make sense in a bit. Every little thing that has happened has been VERY intentional...so stay tuned!!!

YAY!!!!!!!! I had a huge feeling that when she made her way back into the bedroom that Nick was going to be there and you didn't disapoint!! Loved that whole scene because they know they have problems but for that night they just needed to closeness and that's important after being apart for so long.
I know that isn't going to last though! It makes me very sad :( Even though the piccies can be explained on Quinns part I'm sure Nick is going to feel that by hanging out with Jake is leading him on. I just hope he doesn't go down the route of you can't see him because I don't see Quinn going for it! Trouble ahead!

Riley was so right in telling Quinn that she needs to cool it with Jake because I think Nick had every right to feel how he did about it. I can't say I would be too happy if I saw my girlfriend cuddling up to her ex. There have just been too many times when Jake has been aniffing around Quinn for Nick to let it go.

Awww...I know...hang tight! It is hard to watch all of this happening...and even tougher to write it.
I think that Quinn isn't really doing anything wrong with Jake, she isn't interested in him romantically or wanting anything more to be his friend, and even a lot of that is out of obligation. I think a lot of things became very clear in this chapter...we (and Quinn) still don't know what Jake said to Nick to set him off...something to think about. Jake is trouble, but remember, he is serving a purpose, a lot of which you saw in this chapter with Nick's reaction to him.
