I'm a 21 year old peadiatric nurse who has been a backstreet fan since the dawn of time, or so it seems. I have been writing fanfiction for a while but most of them have sucked. They tend to be short because of my attention span and the fact that I think of interesting things to write that don't fit in with story line. I am currently writing a sequeal to a story that is hosted on Dreamers sanctuary called Always. Most of my stories are about or include Nick. In my spare time I like to read books by Jodi Picoult I think she is just amazing! If you haven't read Nineteen minutes, My sister's Keeper or Second Glance go and do it now! My Fave Fanfics include: Oreo's for Breakfast, Broken and By My Side (Kudo's to Julie for such a fantastic ending, even if I am sad it's all over now!) Under My Skin and A Litte Taste of Sin by Mellz Bellz and Shades of Gray by Kelly. |

ARGGGHHH!!! I freaking loved it!
Quinn has just taken a huge step! A giant bloody leap for Quinn and Nick kind!!! If that doesn't show him that she loves him, even if she still has yet to say it, I don't know what will! Don't get me wrong they still have a lot to work through but at least now they are headed in the right direction!
I have to admit I was really pissed off at Nick with the whole smooching! I think it will cause trouble if Quinn finds out, which I think she eventually will.

I am taking that as a good ARGGGGHHH!!! Yes, big stuff happening in their relationship here...forward movement in some ways but not in others! You are so right in that nothing has actually been said here, but BOTH of their actions are speaking volumes, and this chapter is really setting the stage for everything else I have planned! The smooching/mug down is Nick's way of coping with everything, he has used similar things to escape uncomfortable situations with Quinn, so it is only natural that he would try to use it as means of dealing with his pain too. This is Nick...a part of who he is and you have seen that throughout the story...
I think you are going to be really shocked by what is to come...hang on tight! Thanks as always for R/R! I'm off to read your update, you are so on it! I wish I had your dedication!

During their unexpected hiatus, Kevin decides to reconnect with the boys on a camping trip. Healing old wounds, sharing old stories and just spending time as brothers.
I'm liking it so far. I love how Kev is still worried about Nick, you know when they are in the seventies they will still be doing things like this!

Author's Response: well because he's a single parent. he wants nothing more than to protect his children from anyone who would become the wicked stepmother type so he doesn't talk about them unless he serious about someone. It's also a way to keep him from getting to close to soon

ARGHHH!! I completely missed the previous update! But the good thing about it was that I got to read two chapters back to back! They were both awesome!
I love the way Marie is so at ease with the kids and how, in return, they seem to have taken to her. The scenes with the kids in warms my heart.
I felt a little pang with the whole Nick and Jo conversation about "Mom." It was very endearing and well written but I just hope he doesn't read too much into it and stop his realtionship with Marie because of it.
Something is going to have to give eventually though because he's in Florida, she's in New York, I can't see a long distance relationship lasting, not with the girls anyway.
Loved the whole Kevin thing with the nod. I can see him doing that actually. Great job!
I loved it yet again! I loved hoe honest Nick is being with her, I think it might have to do with the loss of Anna. I think he is going out and grabbing things before he losses them, I just hope he doesn't get hurt when she leaves for New York because I don't think Marie would be the type to just give up all she has worked for. It's a very tricky situation but it sure makes for an interesting read!

Also you're right, Marie is not the type of woman to just give everything up for a man. I have to say it was well worth the wait. I love how realistically you haver written this chapter, because a scandal like this is sure to effect Alyssa's career in some way but like Nick said you can't have everything. I think it is going to cause a lot of issues between the pair though!
I do think they are playing a slightly dangerous game with the press. It could end up back firing big time but then again they have their secret weapon to use against Shayla don't they?
