I've been a BSB fan since 1997 and been writing fanfic off and on since 1999. Started out with my own (ultra teenybopper) website, moved on to FanFiction.net, and obviously now AC is where I currently resign ;) Nick tends to make an appearance in all of my stories, whether they're about him or not! He's such an attention whore. I've written a lot of Nick romance in terms of my longer stories, but you'll find that my one-shots are mainly about the boys themselves doing what they do best - angsting and being cheesy and bromantic. You always so faithfully review all my stuff that I figure it was high time I head over here and see what you've written! I really like this, you wrote a great sex scene, which is something I personally have a lot of trouble doing, so kudos to you for that! Nick and Kim are super adorable :) I wonder if you're going to go anywhere with the fact that they forgot to use a condom the night before? Hmmm, I guess I'll have to wait and see! Great job!
After betraying her trust yet again, Alyssa finally gave up on Nick. She moved on and began a seperate life far away from him. But there are some people that life just won't let you let go of. lmao Mel, I loved every word! That was brilliant!! Poor Nick, waking up before his dream got to the good part, haha! That sucks that Sean is gone to Iraq now. I mean I guess it's good that he's away. (Of course not good that he's in Iraq... just away in general) Perhaps him being gone will give Alyssa a chance to sort out her feelings. Absence makes the heart grow fonder... and stuff like that. Erm, yeah! Great update-but-not-really! I'm looking forward to the actual chapter 19 :)
Author's Response: Thanks Steph LOL And thanks for your opinions since I ran the joke by you first. Yea so typical him waking up before he gets to the good stuff right? I had SOOO much fun writing. Sean is REALLY deployed to Iraq now, so we'll see what effect that has on Alyssa. It could be a good thing for her. One less thing to worry about. It could also give her more freedom to get into trouble though.
Dinner party eh? That sounds like dramatic amounts of fun! I bet Sean won't be thrilled about this.. hmm. Looks like things are starting to get interesting, can't wait for the next chapter! :)

The garter landing on Nick's bottle was absolutely hilarious! I really felt bad for he and Alyssa though, when he was confessing his feelings to her. You can tell that they've both really grown up and matured a lot. As you said, it's pretty ironic that the tables have turned now. I hope that things work out for them, because they really do care for each other even after all the drama that has surrounded their relationship. That has got to mean something, right? Great chapter, Mel :)

I think its like Kim said in the last chapter. I think the reason why people find affairs so hot is totally the fantasy aspect. It's knowing that it's forbidden and I guess the risk of being caught. It's the whole temptation that's in front of you too. Like you know its wrong, but you can't stop and then it just escalates and snowballs until it becomes almost an addiction. Not that I condone having one, but this situation is a little more unique as you'll see as the story progresses. There will be a lot of "grey" areas.
I'm glad you enjoyed the kissing scene. I was SOOOO proud of that because looking back on like UMS and stuff I always fought for ways to describe kissing scenes and a lot of them came out sounding a lil lame. I knew this moment called for something like WHOA and I'm glad that I was able to pull that off. Even my beta was impressed and she writes some of the hottest sex scenes I ever read lol. So, hopefully I can keep up that level of intensity. Thanks Saka!

Cheating is never okay. I mean, that's just my personal opinion. If you're compelled to cheat... then why not just go be with the other person? I dunno. In real life I've dealt with a lot of issues about cheating and it's always hard to discuss. There's always grey areas, and it's those grey areas that are fun to write about. Of course, Alyssa and Nick are fictional characters, and yes I enjoy their affair... but if they were my real life friends I would probably have a different opinion. In fact, I know I would because I've been there. I read fan fics to be entertained, plain and simple. Yours entertain me a great deal. I love Alyssa and Nick and I'm glad you've continued to write about them. Honestly, you need to write for yourself (I think you already know this :) I've written stories about people cheating on their spouses, but that doesn't mean I think it's right. It's just fun to write a story.. that's all. Wow I ranted a lot. I love you Mel! Your story rocks! Hehe.
Author's Response: I'm glad that you can seperate your personal experiences from this and still enjoy reading Saka. That question you just started off with had been posed to me. Why an affair? *shrugs* Sometimes its just not that easy to be with someone I guess. It's all grey area which is why I chose to write about it. Thanks though for the vote of confidence. I remember Dani saying she ran into some haters over the cheating thing in Unsuspecting Sunday Afternoon, but I thought it was the whole poor Nick thing and I wouldn't have those problems, but I guess I was wrong.
Hmmm interesting. So Shayla's pregnant eh? I find that oddly suspicious, there's got to be more to it. Either she's lying or she stopped taking her pills, both of which are pretty lame. Sean also kind of irritates me. He really doesn't seem too gung ho about the whole fertility test idea. They may as well try, you know? And Alyssa now says she and Nick can't be friends... yeah, I wonder how long that'll last until they bump into each other at the condo. *rollseyes* Hehehe.. this is really good Mel! I love it so far, keep the juicy drama coming!

Wow... did not expect Nick to find out about Shayla so soon! I'm glad they're getting a divorce, not just because I want Alyssa and Nick to get together (though of course I do :P) but because she really is a manipulative bitch. I feel so awful for Alyssa. She wants to get pregnant so bad and it's just not happening for her. That and Sean really needs to get a clue. Obviously she's stressed out about the whole thing, and mentioning it at such an intimate time isn't going to help. Guh, I can feel the tension! Nick and Alyssa ended up at the Condo together, eh? I'm excited about that, should make for some more interesting drama. I can really see them having a better relationship this time around, they've both grown up so much since last time they were together, so it will be very interesting to see where this leads. Great job as always Mel! I'm very much looking forward to the next chapter =)
Author's Response: Yea it was pretty soon for Nick to find out already, but I kind of decided this was for the best with everything I have planned, plus it makes a lil different from Dani's story which is good. I know we all feel SOO bad for Alyssa because she REALLY wants to get pregnant and its just a REALLY frustrating situation not being able to. The Sean/ Alyssa scene had a LOT of tension which will carry over to Alyssa and Nick next chapter. I'm glad though that you really think they could work out this time around. I've worked really hard to stetch ther characters in this story so yay!
Hot hot hot! I didn't expect them to do it so soon, but you really can tell that there's still feelings there that go beyond the physical level. The fact that Sean has been a bit of a douche doesn't exactly excuse Alyssa from cheating on him with her ex... but you know I love Alyssa and Nick together, so who am I to judge? lol ...i have a feeling Shayla's not quite out of the picture yet, since she and Nick aren't even divorced yet, so I wonder what would happen if/when she finds out about this... Great job Mel! I'm looking forward to reading the emotional aftermath of this rendezvous :D

Oh man, intense. Poor Sean, he hasn't got a clue. Being deployed to Iraq and his wife cheating on him? Harsh. I'm glad Alyssa woke up and realized what she'd done. It shows that she's not completely heartless LOL.. I can see her predicament though. Finally things with Nick look like they possibly could work, and yet she still has her marriage. I dunno, I love her and Nick together but this really is going to be a disaster LOL because you know that since it's happened once Nick is going to want more! Awesome stuff Mel, keep it coming!
Okay, so I already told you my thoughts kind of on AIM, but I'll post them here too, cause everyone loves reviews! How lame is Nick's publicist for making him stay with Shayla? Grr, that sucks! Oh well, I'm not complaining much, because it'll be cause for more drama - which I love! I really feel awful for Alyssa, it sucks that Sean left so suddenly. Damn military and their whole "let's do this RIGHT NOW" attitude, argh. Of course, this will give her more freedom to goof around with Nick... which should also cause more drama. Ah drama, drama, drama! This story is full of it and I adore it! Keep up the good work Mel!

Aw, it was sweet that Sean called her. Spending your first wedding anniversary alone would definitely suck big time. It was really nice of Nick to send her flowers and keep her company. And kudos to him for not trying anything!! Those two are so adorable.
The fact that Alyssa's been somewhat tired and lethargic lately makes me wonder if possibly she and Sean achieved their goal of getting pregnant before he left. Of course, it could just be me reading into it too much. It's very possible she could just be feeling that way because she's sad he's gone. I suppose you'll have to write more soon so I can find out =) Great chapter Mel!

Oooh, so he's talking to Shayla again. That's interesting. I'm glad that Sean got online to chat with Alyssa on her birthday. Very sweet and cute :) I wonder how nick's going to react when he finds out that Alyssa's pregnant.. that should be interesting. Well, I'm sure he'll just be happy for her, but hearing the timeline of it all I wonder if he'll think (or she'll think) that it may not be Sean's child. Oooh the impending drama! Loved it Mel! I was so happy to see an update so soon :)
