We are so spoiled, another update!!! Good for Alyssa for not taking that BS about breastfeeding from the high-and-mighty le leche leaguer! I would have liked to see it go a little further...damn the parents. Oh - and I have a theory about Sean.

Author's Response: LMAO I actually wanted to have Alyssa refer to Kim as a le leche leagur but I forgot to put it in :( Oh well... I'm glad your team Alyssa. One of my friends actually sided w/Kim and pretty much said everything to me that Kim told Alyssa lol I kinda wanted it to go further too. In my outline it was supposed to, but I stopped because I wasn't sure if it was too much too soon. I'm interested to hear your theory on Sean though.

YAY!  An update, made my Sunday evening!  I love the innuendo at the end...chocogasm is genius!  Sean is a prick, I was hoping that whatever computer hut he is in gets blown up while he is typing.  Still have a theory, we may have to chat sometime about it.

Perfect!  You wrote this perfectly.  I must admit I wasn't expecting that conversation at the end, shows how far Alyssa has come!  I am glad she stayed and Nick is getting a chance to experience a little bit of the babydaddy action.  Can't wait for more, great job!!!

What a pleasant surprise to return from out of town to find two new chapters!!!  You have been busy, my friend!  Love this chapter...the conversation between her and Teri was right on...I love how she always seems to be there to give Alyssa the little push she needs.  I think you wrote this one perfectly...can't wait to read the next chapter!!!

So much to say about this chapter...first, I loved it (of course)!  The le leche woman needs to back off...she is TROUBLE...Alyssa is being smart by being more careful.  I loved the whole MILF shirt dialouge, too funny.  I think it is sweet that Nick is so into the baby, and that Alyssa is letting him be involved.  Its amazing how open they are being with each other since she has let her guard down and come to terms with her feelings for him.  I love the new dynamic between them, it is comfortable and hot at the same time.  Excellent chapter, can't wait for more!!!  Great work!

Author's Response: I;m glad you enjoyed the MILF dialogue. Here I thought it was really cheesy! Alyssa and Nick's communication these past few chapters has been awesome and I feel like it really shows through their interactions with each other. This is going to sound totally weird, but I almost forgot about Shayla.  We are so wrapped up in Nick and Alyssa's world and a bit of Sean that she fell by the wayside...we better not forget about her...she is manipulative and coule reap some havoc just like Meg predicted last chapter.  I am glad Nick talked to Angel, it showed things from his POV and the other potential collateral damage.  This could all turn very very ugly...I can't wait!

Author's Response: Yea... It's really tough sometimes to not only write about Nick and Alyssa, but their spouses as well. Shayla did get a lil lost in the shuffle, but she'll be I think playing a bigger part in the next few chapters. It was nice writing the Nick and Angel scene because you're right. Another fantastic chapter...I think you are outdoing yourself with every update if that is possible.  I think Alyssa and Nick are definitely getting to a difficult point in their relationship, defining things and making future plans will have reprocussions.  They did make a plan this chapter, however, I still feel like they are putting off the inevitable...

Date: 07/16/08 Title: Chapter 42: Chapter 39 - I Won't be Home for Christmas

Wowza...explosive, huge chapter!  I love the nursery - big meaning in a small gesture.  Shows that he is ready for the next step and ready for her and the babes to make the condo their home.  Lots of meaning in that, it will also help make her and the baby's transition from Sean & her home easier.  Also shows that he is ready for her to be there with him.  I love that they are doing family-ish things together.

Now onto Shayla...I was beginning to wonder if she thought anything about the time he spent away from home or if she knew who he was with.  I would be upset if I was her too!!!  The fallout from all of this will be beautifully explosive...I can't wait to read about Christmas and see what the PI comes up with!

Great job, as always!  You are on a roll lately!



Author's Response: Yepp, didn't seem that way at first, but it was. LOl Thanks a lot for the nursery idea it really worked out well. It is cute seeing them do things like they're a married couple like pick out a Christmas tree and decorate the house. I know Shayla has been a lil absent from the scene for a while so I tried to catch her up to speed by explaining what she had or had not been noticing. You'll have to just stay tuned to see what results from this!

What a huge chapter...you did an excellent job, once again.  I love the opening scene and Shayla's observations.  The scene between Angel and Alyssa is a huge one, totally get where Angel is coming from, but I must say I was proud of Alyssa for how she handled it considering the shock.  The end scene was awesome, HUGE...I think you did it perfectly.  Every chapter you write gets better and better...you are amazing, my dear.  Keep up the good work!  Hugs!

Author's Response: Aww thanks Darbs but I couldn't do it without your help! I'm glad you liked the opening. I've been trying to show a bit more from Shayla's POV since I've been neglecting it sorta. I like how the Angel/Alyssa scene went myself. In a way you can't blame Angel. I know what it's like to be wary of your brother's g/f. She's only looking out to protect Nick because she loves him. BUT she doesn't have to be rude about it. I think it was mature of Alyssa to realize that she's going to have to win Angel over by showing her that her intentions towards Nick are true. I really wanted to finish the Kim/Callie/ Alyssa scene last night and I did, but then I was like hmm... the Nick and Alyssa scene shouldn't be TOO long, so I just pounded it out while I was still feeling it. Yes, I agree that it was very mature of Lyss to put Kim first even though Kim hasn't been the nicest person to her lately. And I'm glad you liked the chemistry between Alyssa and Nick. Ooh...good stuff...and the plot thickens.  What is up with Sean being all controlling?  I understand where everyone (even Sean) is coming from in this one.  And yeah, Nick's words...a leeetle harsh, but he is afraid of losing everything, and he has a lot to lose, even more than Alyssa really.

Author's Response: Yes it does... I think Sean is overly paranoid about Nick and plus with the PTSD it makes him more controlling. It's tough because everyone has their sides in this one and everyone has a good reason for reacting the way they do. Nick was harsh at times, but you are right on the money about him. Haha slave driver! :)
