That is a evil little cliffie, miss!  OK...so many things...I love the symbolism of Alyssa and the blood and the white dress in the beginning.  I love the interaction between Nick and Kevin at the end.  I think you did a great job on the flashback, I especially like how even though N/A had been in the sack a few moments before, she immediately turned into his friend when it all went down with Katie and Serena.

I think this chapter ended up coming out perfectly...you did a fabulous job portraying Nick's emotion and how much more painful it is for him to have to be guarded because of circumstances.  The scene between him and Alyssa at the end is touching, so tough - but you did a great job with it as well. 

I guess that means you rule, Melly!  Keep up the good work!  Hugs!!!

What an awesomely explosive chapter...you did an incredible job!  Tons of dialouge, tons of emotion...just ton of tons of stuff!  The scene between her and Sean was unavoidable, and a little expected - but he did get very ugly, more so than I thought he would originally.  But that scene with Nick and Alyssa...you know I LURVE IT...says so much...

Author's Response: It was a lot! This was one of the more action filled chapters I guess. Sean did get ugly (it was fun to write though) although it could've been a lot worse. I hope it came across as appropriate as effed up as it was. Haha and I know you LURVED the Nick/ Alyssa fight. Thanks for your help!

Poor Alyssa...as if she doesn't have enough to deal with, the body image issue that most new moms have to deal with rears its ugly head...and she has no baby to show for it.  I can't think of much worse things that could happen.  I think you did a great job writing this, you really show us how she is feeling and I could really understand and sympathize with Alyssa.  Bless her sweet girls for taking her to that strip class,it was just what she needed...started a chain reaction that I really hope keeps going!

Author's Response: Yea that was a biggie I wanted to highlight which makes her body issues that much harder for her to deal with the fact that it was all for nothing. I'm glad her feelings came across clearly. I didnt want her to come off as whiny. Ha yea the strip class was pretty crazy, but you are right she needed something insane like that to refocus herself. First...YAY!  You finished!!!  I know that these last few chapters were tough for you to get out but you came through, maintaining the same caliber of writing through it all.  You have done an exceptional job with this story and I am so proud of you!  I can't wait to feel the same since of accomplishment.

Yes you know VERY well how hard they were cuz you were the one I bitched to about them LOl.  I'm kind of glad it's over though. And you will get there too with Casual. 

Lol Ok maybe the sex scene wasn't SOOO bad.... I haven't actually reread it myself I'm just not a fan of the super intense emotional "love" scenes. I guess it definitely could've been cheesier and the prequel is alreay up my darling. What Makes You Different... I posted the first 3 chapters.

You are very welcome, Melly...and you have helped me a ton too.  I am so glad we have gotten to know each other through our writing.  Not to get too sentimental, but I also see you as a little sister - and I am happy to be there for you...I wish you only the best stuff in life and I know that you can have all of the things you want - you just have to believe in yourself and be CONFIDENT! 

I adore ALTOS, you know that...and I think your writing has grown a lot since UMS...it was awesome to watch how respectfully you handled such delicate, controversial situations.  There is a touch of class in your writing, even when it is a racey subject matter, not everyone can do that.  Like you, Alyssa has shown us that she is a class act, imperfect, but willing to rise the occassion.

Awww... Darbs you are gonna make me cry lol. And that is a MAJOR compliment to me about how I handled the issues in ALTOS. That was one of my biggest fears in writing this. Infidelity is a widely controversial topic and I knew that it had to be handled in a dignifed matter to come off the right way throughout this story. And then of course the whole "who's the baby's daddy" thing is like the stuff of bad daytime talk shows. (Why am I thinking Maury? lol) So, again I had to go about that one carefully without making it trashy. I think that no subject is to taboo to write about as long as you go about it with class which I try to do no matter what I'm writing. I think maybe that's whats helped me so much with my sex scenes haha.

GRRR....for some reason my original feedback wouldn't post.  I think it is super sweet how moving Mary was a family affair, I love how they all come together so often in this story.  I also love the simplicity of the birthday celebration, that it wasn't about getting it on...or even gifts, just about them wanting to be with each other...guys do actually think like this sometimes, and it is refreshing to see it, especially in a FF.  I still get a little kick out of the fact that Dr. Drew is their therapist - I chuckle a little at the mental image - but throughout this story, some of my most favorite scenes have been of Nick and Alyssa in therapy.  I love the way they get so honest there...I loved Dr. Drew's summation of his theory on what is going on!  Super job hun, keep up the great work and update soon!!!
