Hi, I'm Julie. I'm an elementary school teacher from Illinois. I started reading BSB fanfic over the summer of 1999, when I was 14, and I've been writing it for almost as long. My favorite kind of stories to write are drama/angst with a hint of romance, and most of my stories are about Nick or Brian. This is very cute!! I wasn't sure what direction you were going with the whole Brian/Harry Potter thing. Could have been dumb, but I think the way you're doing it, kind of like a Backstreet-ized homage to HP, works! Very clever and funny! Qbeus Hagrid! LMAO I love old-school Brian, too, workin' at Long John Silvers... blast from the past, man! I'm eager for more! :)
Author's Response: Thanks! :) I got this idea a few weeks ago, when I was teaching myself photoshop and the first thing I randoml made was the story picture. Brian Potter was born. And then all of the HP discussion we were having in the forum really fueled some of my ideas, so I'm glad that was the book of the month!
Yay, glad to read another chapter of this story! I'm so in HP mood since the movie came out (LOVE IT!), so this was just what I needed today! I never got into reading regular HP fanfic, but it's fun to read it in the context of sort of a BSB crossover. I'm still enjoying the story and hope you update again soon! :)
Yay, you updated!!! This story is so fun! Nice to get some other Backstreet Boys in there... I can already tell this is gonna be a great Frick 'n' Frack story with Nick in Ron's role. And LMAO at Timberlake as Malfoy. Great stuff! Can't wait for more!

Okay, I'm sure my upstairs neighbors heard me cracking up when I read "Howmione Granger," cause I was really loud! The "budget cuts" line was great, too! And Brian standing with the 11-year-old first years to be sorted LOL. I know I'm late on reading this chapter, but I'm still loving the story and can't wait for more! It's so refreshing to see something different like this on AC! :)

LMFAO!!! This chapter cracked me up, with the Backstreet Broomstick, "If You Want to be a Good Girl, Get Yourself a House Elf," and of course, Howmione singing "Bye Bye Basilisk!" LMAO! Brilliant, as always! I love this story so much! Keep the updates coming; loving them!

LMFAO!!! This chapter cracked me up with all the jokes about AJ's pumpkin head. I loved when Timberlake thought he was the Headless Horseman, and then Brian laughed, and everyone stared at him, like "If only he knew..." Ha! I also liked "Quit playing games with my wand..." So funny!! Also wondering who the Prisoner of Azkaban is going to be in this version... Sirius is one of my favorite characters in HP! Great update!
Author's Response: Glad you thought the chapter was funny! :) I think their Halloween excursion was my favorite scene in the story so far since Q said told Brian he was a Brit. Haha. And you're right, I do have someone in mind for Sirius. I do agree that he was a great character in the book series! 23 days until the movie!!!
Great start! Wasn't expecting a burglary right off the bat - great job describing the destruction and Brian's and Jackie's reactions to that. How horrible!! This seems different for a fanfic, having Brian as a child and Jackie as his single mom, so I'll be curious to see where it goes.
*shudders* That was disturbing, kinda freaked me out, but it was great! I also thought it was Nick that was dead, so good twist there!

Great start, Tracy! Poor Nick, poor Amanda... How do people find themselves in this situations, so obviously in love with each other, yet married to other people they obviously DON'T love? Craziness! I'm curious to know the back story there! I like how you made yourself the villainess in this LOL. Bad girls have more fun! =D

Hey Annaleigh! Checking out your fic, per your request on the forum. To be honest, I'm finding it very hard to read enough to form an opinion of it because most of it is one massive chunk of text. It would be easier on the eyes if you would break it up into smaller paragraphs, with a line of white space in between each one. An easy rule of thumb to follow is that you should start a new paragraph every time the speaker changes when you have dialogue. So if two characters are having a conversation, start a new paragraph every time the dialogue changes from one of them talking to the other. Just a tip that will make it a lot easier to read and probably get you more reviews. Congrats on posting your first story!

Brian had the perfect trip planned out for the group, in hopes to recapture and relive the good times and enjoy one of the greatest gift life has to offer, friendship. What wasn’t planned was the unimaginable event that would occur, turning their trip into an unforgettable one and a fight for survival.
I'm finally getting caught up on this story, which I've intended to read for awhile now, and just wanted to let you know I'm loving it! The whole scene of Nick and AJ in the bathroom together made me LMAO!!! I love the old-school vibe of this and all the old references, like the penis haircut LOL. Like you said to me - I MISS stories like this!!
Mwahaha, I knew Arianna was gonna be evil. In any other story, you'd expect the random chick a Backstreet Boy rescued from the cold snow to be his long lost soulmate Mary Sue, but I knew that wouldn't be the case with yours - thank god!! I loved all the time you spent on set-up, all the great Bsb moments, but I'm glad we're getting into some action now!
