While Nick struggles to deal with what happened on the cruise, Howie’s indiscretions lead to dire consequences.Aw that's got to be tough to actually go and get tested for, but he needed to do it. How will he manage to not have sex with Lauren though? She'll get suspicious.
I really feel sorry for Howie though, he's getting all the blame and it might not be down to him.

I feel so heart broken for Howie. To tell the guys must've been tough, but he has their love and support, even Nick dropped the hostile act when he knew how seriously ill Holden was.
I wonder how long it'll take for the media and fans to find out? Will they give him a hard time about it and make shit up? I can't wait to see!

Amazing chapter yet again Julie, but I did laugh at Nick admitting he'd always been a crap actor.
I liked Lauren's response to the news, it was very believable, I wonder how she'll test though.

Author's Response: Thanks, Steph! LOL I laughed writing that line too. I think this Nick is more self-aware than real life Nick. ;) I'm glad you liked Lauren's response. I wanted her to react differently than Leigh or Nick did when Howie told them; someone needed to show a little compassion for a change LOL.
Poor Howie :( I know he cheated, and Leigh is obviously devastated and in need of some time, but he didn't intend to infect everyone with HIV, that was just bad luck. Although if that happened to me, I'd probably be furious too and then start to deal with it.

That must be an awful feeling, and no wonder he felt like he wanted to stop taking the pills, but I'm glad he got the anti-sickness pills as he should start to feel better now. RIP Q :(

I was so excited to see a new chapter and hope you've settled into your new place OK.
I hope Leigh does sort her medication out and doesn't just focus on Holden and forget about herself. She needs to stay strong. I still feel so sorry for Howie though, poor guy makes a mistake and loses everything, but I also understand why. It's a huge deal and not something easily forgiven.
The rest of the band will be more curious now won't they. I wonder how they'll explain it without going into the details.

Oh no, that chapter brought tears to my eyes :( Poor Howie :( New Year's Eve is always a time for high suicide rates isn't it? But I hope Nick listens to that message and gets to Howie in time to get his stomach pumped at the hospital.
Of course he'd be missed :(

I hope there's no lasting damage done. Thank god Nick found him and they took the empty pill bottles to the hospital. If Nick hadn't given him mouth to mouth (which would've made me gag too with the vomit lol) he would've been dead on arrival. Poor Howie. I keep saying that in my reviews, but I'm actually sitting here saying it too, I feel so sorry for everything he's going through :(

Author's Response: Thanks again, Steph! Yeah, I think the mouth to mouth would have been really gross, but I guess it shows that Nick really does still care about Howie because he did it anyway, rather than let him die.
Crap, has he given himself lasting liver damage? That's going to be awful along with the rest of it :(
I'm glad the boys were there for him and told him that he is loved etc, he needed some positive words in his going down the pan life didn't he. Will it make Leigh come back though? I'll have to wait and see.

Yes, maybe he would've done the same if he didn't have Lauren. He's lucky she stuck by him or his life would've been as hellish as Howie's :(

Funny how I haven't read an update of this story for ages, but I got straight back into it like it was only a couple of weeks ago.
Poor Howie, that's just awful news to hear. He's going to need a miracle or a liver donor pretty fast :(
