I'm glad you touched on the fact that they all freakin' misspelled the kid's name. I was sitting there reading Howie, Kevin and Brian spell it with an 'H' going..."What the hell you guys?" lol

Dude is messed up, and when they get back and he finds Howie gone... Oh shit, Nick's going to be in trouble. I love that even though Nick is so obviously freaked out, he's still worried about the others first. There's this sudden softer side of him that you've written (Wanting to see Lauren again, worried about the boys, crying). Based on how he's changed personally in the last couple years, the change you've written is pretty spot on to how I imagine he might react in this situation versus when he was younger. If that makes sense. lol

Author's Response: I'm so glad you picked up on that because I really tried to make a conscious effort to grow him up and let all these positive changes he's been through reflect his thoughts and actions. So, yay to that! It's weird you were here reviewing chapter 4 as I was posting chapter 5. LOL Thanks, Sam!

Well look at that, Kevin was right. I'd be sad if I was Nick too, but I'm glad they listened. Tim's so creepy: "Good Boy", there's a part of me that secretly loves his creepiness. Now it's off to the cabin...been waiting for this part!

Aw, this was hard to read. I almost wish Nick wasn't so injured that he could put up more of a fight with this guy. It's hard to see him just...I hate to say giving up, but it's like watching him give up. Never thought I'd see him in that position, really sad though... : (

Author's Response: Aww I know what you mean, but you're right. He is giving up a little bit, poor guy but that's why I called it what I called it. They're all kind of hitting that critical point in their journeys right now. :O( Thanks, Sam!

What the hell?? He was just back at the cabin torturing Nick and Howie, now he's already there to kill them? Damnit! I was hoping he would drive up to do the deed and there would be a ton of cop cars there rescuing the guys. Now what are they going to do? They're sitting ducks with that psychopath. And if Tim's out there, where does that leave poor Nick and Howie? By they way, I don't like to see Nick fading so fast, not cool Mare...not cool. But other than that, can't wait for more. lol

Author's Response: That's the one thing that can be a little confusing about this story. Because they each have their own POV's most of the time they overlap which means the Howie POV chapter was taking place just around the same time Brian was losing faith but by the time the wolves show up, Tim was way on his way to see them. Not a lot of time has actually gone by in the context of the story, but because of all the POV's it may seem like days have gone by while actually it's only been hours. I did that just to add another surprise element like Tim seeming to just show up as fast as he did. LOL Thanks, Sam! :O)

Geez. So much happening, hopefully now that they've figured out the Aspirin issue, Nick will start to perk up a little bit (or a lot). I don't know what Howie's going to do once he realizes that Kevin is with Tim, but so far this "plan" doesn't seem like the most fool-proof one. Crazy how Nick's condition is making Howie so sentimental, but I don't blame him, I can't imagine what a situation like that would make you think.

Author's Response: Yeah, I kind of picture Howie the type to not really ever let the guys know how he feels about them etc... but in a crisis I can see him maybe regretting that and wanting to share because he knows that Nick is the complete opposite and always shares his feelings. I over analyze a bit when I write and I agree, this plan is a very Scooby Doo plan! lmao Thanks, Sam!

UGH!!!!! I'm so mad for so many reasons.
1) No new update until next weekend!
2) They couldn't get the right address from the plates! I was sure that once they ran those plates it would somehow lead to the cabin, they burst in there and save everyone, BUT the Muntkeys went off the grid so obviously that wouldn't make sense. Crazy about Tim's dad rap sheet, but goot now though.
3) No new update until next weekend
4) Cruel cliffhanger, I truly have no clue what's going to happen. Is he going to take Nick back to the cabin, and confront Kevin and Howie too, is he going to take Nick off by himself, is Nick going to be able to talk his way out of this...so much.
5) No new update until next weekend
6) No new update until...well you get it. lol

Side note, Howie was hiding on a burial ground. Creepy... haha Loved the one on one with Kristin at the end.

Maybe it's my years as a suspense writer. Who knows? 2) yeah, they went into hiding so there is no record of that cabin. 4)yes one of those things happens but I'm sure you already figured that much out! LOL yes, poor Howie was hiding on top of a very dead AnneMarie. Yikes!! He's not having a really good night. Glad you enjoyed Kristin.
