I've just read this story again andI remembered how much I love it. The characters just come alive with the way you write them and I truly feel what they are experiencing. I particularly love a very well written Brian story, because there just aren't enough of those, so thank you. I know you said this is a side project, is it still? I hope you will find a way to keep writing it :-)

Author's Response: Aww, thank you so much! It was a nice surprise to find a review for this story in my inbox today! I am a Brian girl, so it's nice to be able to write about Brian in an AU. I'm glad the characters feel real to you - thanks so much for the compliment! I have this story all outlined out, so I definitely hope to continue/finish it at some point. I just never quite found my groove on it after I started it and then got more inspired on other projects, so it got put on the back burner. It's still a side project for now, but I'm hoping to make it my main project again when I finish some other things. I haven't abandoned it; I just want to wait until I can focus on it enough to write on it and update regularly. Thanks for the reminder that people are still wanting more! :)

Great story idea! There has always been talk of Brian and Nick's strained relationship at this time, so this will be very interesting to read. I love the humor you display - the line about Nick's ego and when Brian said "your career was as dead as this guy" and picking up the skull LOL Can't wait to read more, so please update soon. Also, thanks so much for writing a Brian story cuz I just love the guy!

Author's Response: Thanks so much for the feedback! Yeah, the rumors of that time are what sparked the story idea. I took what I know (or, at least, what was rumoured) and then... added some creative license of my own. :) And glad you thought it was funny- that's what I'm going for. Hopefully I'll be able to keep it up! Haha. I was hoping to post again tonight, but I haven't quite finished the chapter. Should be up tomorrow, though!

I'm always happy to find a good Brian fiction and so far I'm intrigued by this one.
My favorite part so far: Jackie's reaction - She is initially angry and completely dismissive of Eve's story until she suddenly realizes the eyes looking back at her are the eyes of her very own son. Wow!

I'm glad you like it. I don't write about Brian too often, I'm a Nick girl. But I always feel like there is a lacking of storylines involving certain members that don't fit the fictional stereotypical role. Brian was a good choice for this story because it's like shining a like outside of his 'godly' nature :)

OMG I KNEW there had to be more to this, it just didn't make sense to me how Brian was acting. Now it does. He loves Chrissy so much that he cannot bear to have her go through any more or sacrifice any more to take care of him. What I can't believe is how many readers are still wanting her to stay with Nick! Seriously?? No, she truly loved Brian and it has now been proven that he loves her SO MUCH. I want to hug him! How unselfish of him. *sob* Go back to Brian, Chrissy!

Sweet sweet Brian . . . . . he loves her so much . How can anyone wish she would stay with Nick?? Yes,she has developed feelings for Nick, but Brian was truly her world until he pushed her away by pretending not to love her. Now she knows the truth - that Brian never stopped loving her. I believe she will stay & love him with all her heart until death takes him from her. What bothered me is that Nick doesn't seem to even care that Brian is going to die. If Nick loves her, then he can damn well wait until Brian is gone to try to have a life with her.

I love a well-written Brian story and this is definitely one. I just finished chapter 11 and from knowing actual BSB history, it is clear that Brian will be leaving to follow his dream. Obviously from what you have written in present day, he never did marry Emma. I'm so sad just thinking about her losing the boy that she loves. Brian is now in present day grieving for his wife, and you have portrayed his emotions as he comes to grips with that loss with such heart wrenching clarity. Now he has come home, and I am very eager to see what happens as Brian and Emma see each other after 19 yrs apart. Great story - please update!

Brian is being put in a very tough position and I feel for him. Emma is someone he still cares for and wants to help, but marriage? That's too much to ask of a man still mourning the death of his wife. Somehow, though, I think he will seriously consider it. I love this story and can't wait for the next chapters.
You are an amazing writer, which I first discovered when I read "Something beautiful - one of the best FF stories I've ever been privileged to read. Please keep writing and thank you for writing w/ Brian as the main character. It is not done enough, so I appreciate it. :)

Aww, I'm so glad that Leighanne assured Brian in his dream that he wasn't cheating and that it was ok to let her go and love Emma. Brian seems so fragile in this chapter and I just wanna hug him. I'm so glad he opened up to Emma in the bathroom. That's a good 1st step towards moving on. Sorry - correction: a good 2nd step cuz the 1st step was carrying Emma to the bed and passionately making love! lol I love how you used the hairy knees bit from when Brian met Leighanne in real life haha! Can't wait to read on, but must wait until tomorrow - work in the AM and it's 2AM. Do you know how hard it is for me not to read the next chapters? Aaghh!
