I have been a mommy for 10 years and have been working on finding the balance between, wife, mother, full-time employee and writer. Always something new! :)

annoys the shit out of you sure ... that's what it is. 

I am really liking it and the only thing I can find that makes me "trip" over the story is you've been using "your" where it should be "you're".  Can't wait to read more, loving it.  can't believe I haven't read this sooner.

hrm, if Howie IS the killer why didn't he just do it, why patch her up?  Now I'm second guessing myself.  The whole mention of CIA and FBI make me wonder if Kevin has federal agents watching the house....

ugh! I want to know why Don kept his name secret. It's probably because he did some shady stuff to get him, probably offed his parents and felt sorry for the kid so raised him to be what killed his parents. pshaw!   I sort of don't care if Crystal is okay or not, lol. I just want to know more about his past.
