I'm not sure if I'm breaking rules here by reviewing this chapter again, but I wanted to review the chapter rather than the story because you know my thoughts on the story (refresher course: AMAZE-BALLS).
So totally relieved Nick lived. A little scared when you said he was in a wheelchair as I didn't remember you paralysing him.
I was so sad to read about Howie and Leigh. I don't keep up to date with the lives of their wives/girlfriends but Leigh is my favourite (although I do like Kristin and Lauren too) - she just seems incredibly humble and supportive of Howie. I was glad that you didn't make their separation permanent. It was some consolation that he didn't go off on his own and stayed to be closer with Nick (which by the way was too sweet!)
The last conversation in the diner was precious. I think getting back together after that would either be disastrous or the best thing they could do. In the case of BSB, it would definitely be the best thing they could do, especially in Nick's case and even for Howie and Kevin. Loved that you made those three closer.
Just to end: I got a little excited to see you mention that you might have a story with those three as the main characters! Really hope to see that story sometime in the future! In the meantime, keep warm and thanks for the ride!
Author's Response: No rules broken. I have reviews the same hapter more than once myself. I figured because poor Howie had ben hit the hardest mentally that his marriage would suffer, but I could also see them getting back together because of the way she seems to be so supportive of not just Howie but all the guys. As much as I would have loved Leighanne to take a walk, she would never leave Brian.
Thanks for all the reviews, Jess! I realy do hope I get around to writing that story as well. I have a mental picture of what I want to do just not sure if I want it present day or old school. Either way It wouldn't happen until my summer break. (June):O)

I was waiting for this chapter! I knew Nick was bound to be taken at some point (unless he hasn't been taken and you're throwing us off again...I never know what to expect lol) I was a little annoyed at Howie in this chapter - although he is justified in his concerns.
Btw, forgot to ask: a few reviews ago you mentioned you were annoyed at BSB...I might be out of the loop? What have they done this time? lol

Author's Response: Thanks!! I know, I have been pretty surprised (pleasantly) by the review count for this story. Annoyed with Howie? I don't remember what he did. I might have to go back and read lol As far as BSB, I've had a love/hate relationship with them for awhile now. Nothing they have done specifically just being overpriced and non accessible to fans who can't afford to buy their love! Also this whole Nick and New Kid thing. Ugh! LOL Thanks, Jess! :O)
I have had the WORST week! So coming on here and finding you posted this story was just what I needed!!
Loved Howie in this chapter! I can honestly see him doing something like that - going out of his way for Nick just seems like something he would do. And Kevin not wanting to take Nick seems like something that HE would do lol. I'm actually kinda glad that Brian and AJ won't be around that much in this story - I'm not really interested in story-lines around those two.
Can't wait for more!

So I'm behind on reading and reviewing! Loved the last line in this chapter - makes me think this is more than just a relaxing holiday away. Lol at Nick complaining about the room - if I was Kevin I would have done the same thing lol!

Ahh! This is why I don't usually read incomplete fanfics....the suspense! I'm thinking there's a connection between the abuse thing hinted at last chapter and Howie's revelation this chapter - psycho Bob on the loose maybe?? Great chapter! I would be pissed too if the people I was on holiday with made plans without me! Especially on the first night! Oh well...looking forward to the next chapter!

LMAO at the pizza thing! That is something that I would do just to piss someone off lol Eeek at the whole distant relative thing though. Just got back from Sydney which is why I'm behind in reviewing! I have a feeling something bad is going to happen on the boat such as that crazy relative showing up on a speedboat and kidnapping Nick or something. Eeek! When I read how he sexually assaulted that child and got out early because he wasn't found guilty of the attempted murder, I was peeved because it sounds like something that would actually happen in real life. Rolph Harris only got 5 years (3 years good behaviour) for molestation! Argh! Hope he gets beat in jail. Anyways, rant over.
I knew this story would take a dark turn somewhere lol I think they best thing about this chapter is how you described Nick's behaviour towards this creep. It's like his loneliness has convinced him to be naive to the fact that they guy is a creep! Can't wait to see what happens next!
Author's Response: I have no idea who Rolph Harris is but yes, those kinds of cases happen all the time with pretty much the same results, sadly.
It's sad but I also think it's true of kids like Nick in this story, who feel neglected by their own parents, to think that maybe this guy would be more of a friend than an enemy, which is what those jerks prey on in the first place. Thanks for the review, Jess!

I could feel the anxiety in this chapter and it was making me nervous lol I was expecting Nick to pop up somewhere with a 'hey guys, where have you been?' but I guess that was too much to hope for.
I love how Kevin came to realise how he felt about the other guys. It is true that you only realise what you have when it's gone (or at least you think it's gone).

Kevin's flashback thingy and his relationship with Jerald - I thought it was perfect that he was a little put off by Jerald's anger only to act the same way with Nick.

LOL Howie winking at his mum made me laugh. I'm totally in love with him in this story haha
It's nice to see Kevin pulling his head in.If Howie wasn't in this story I would be very concerned for Nick's wellbeing lol
