Awwww AJ such a gentlemen walking her to the door. That bit made me smile. :)

Author's Response: He really is a gentleman and just wants to be a friend to her, that is if she'll let him! Thanks KeepThisSecret!

Majorie is right; why does Max have to be so stubborn?? Oi! *shakes head*

Author's Response: She is unbelievably stubborn! Hopefully AJ can get past it.

Ha! Nice twist with having AJ give her the old, beat up truck. I was totally expecting him to give her the brand new one.

Author's Response: I figured most people would so I decided to switch it up a little! Thanks KeepThisSecret!

Let me start by saying that I'm so glad that you decided to post this. I absolutely loved "The Boys on the Bus'! It was actually one of the first stories that I read when I first discovered AC. I really enjoy your style of writing, and I hope that you find some inspiration to post another story. I, for one, will definitely read it!

Author's Response: Thank you! That's a big compliment coming from someone whose stories I LOVE (#mutualadmirationsociety). I AM working on a sequel, but I had to get this out first. :)

I enjoyed the fact that you presented the issue from Nick's perspective. The emotion that you conveyed seemed very real. I always felt that Nick valued Brian more than Brian valued Nick. If either of them is going to bring back Frick and Frack, it will be Nick. This was by far my favourite part of the documentary and I love that so many people are writing about it and covering it from different angles. The bit with Howie was a nice touch. Although he only touched on her fact that he resented Brian for swooping in and stealing all of his leads I bet that he's still harbouring a lot of animosity towards Brian. The two of them have never seemed very close and I bet the early assignment of vocals has something to so with it. I loved that Howie was the one to go and console Nick - very fitting given their current closeness. Anyways, I have rambled long enough. Thanks for a great story!!

Author's Response: First off, I'm flattered you reviewed one of my stories. Mainly cause you're a very talented writer. So thank you. And thank you again! I feel like my favorite thing about writing is getting into the character's heads. I'm almost positive that's why I like torturing the hell out of those Boys. I like seeing where it takes them. That journey and every thing it makes them feel. I fully agree with you saying if one of them brought back F&F it'd be Nick. If only because of how much Nick seemed to idolize Brian back in the day. I wanted to dive deeper into the fight and I thought perhaps using Howie I could do that so I'm glad you enjoyed that. Because honestly Howie did sort of get screwed and I'd LOVE to know what Howie really thinks about Brian handling these issues because of that history. Plus there's the whole Nowie thing these days too. So he felt like a nice choice. Thanks for your rambles! I enjoyed reading them! LOL.

I was so happy when I logged on and saw a new story from you! I thought that you conveyed the emotion so well. The way you expressed Brian's thoughts were exactly in line with what I imagined him to be thinking while I was watching the documentary. I'm glad that Nick called him out about his vocal issues. I so wish that the situation had been discussed with the fans before the movie came out. It's not like we all haven't noticed it for years.

It hurts my heart that Brian and Nick aren't as close as they once were. As much as I like Howie I'm just not all for "nowie" ... It's not the same! I almost cried right along with Brian when Nick said that he missed his voice. We all do Nick, we all do.

Anyways, I hope to see more writing from you in the near future!

Author's Response: Thanks!! I just felt for Brian so much watching that documentary, it was fairly easy to channel his thoughts, or at least what I imagined he must have been thinking. I'm glad it seemed believable. I also wish he had been more open about this issue. I get that it's hard for him to talk about, but like you said, everyone knew something was up, and it would have stopped all the speculation and blame towards him if he had just come out and told us what was going on. You can't blame him for a bad performance when you know he has an actual physical problem that he can't control, but he's gotten so much shit over the last few years for his voice sounding bad! I'm glad to know that he's getting help for it, and it does seem to be helping. I'm also glad he's finally opening up about it. Anyway, thanks so much for the review! I haven't had as much time to write lately, but I have been posting an epic pandaskunk parody if you're looking for something else to read. ;) LOL

First off, I wanted to say that I'm LOVING the fact that so many people are writing about "the fight scene". I'm interested to see where you take this as a Nick and Brian bromance story is right up my alley! I enjoyed the fact that you kept showing the situation from both of their perspectives. I think that you nailed their emotions and I totally agree with AJ; what exactly marked the end of Frick and Frack? It's like one day they were super close and the next day they just weren't. The notion of Brian taking a break from the group scares the crap out of me! He's my favourite and the reason why I became a fan in the first place. I honestly don't know if I would continue to love them as much as I do now if Brian were to leave ...

Author's Response: I think Brian is a lot more central to the group than a lot of fans realize. Brian was my favorite when I first became a fan, too, and often competes with Nick for favorite-ness, I'm not gonna lie. lol... There's a lot of things from the movie that inspired this story, but it's been a story that I've been meaning to write for awhile now anyway, it just needed the nudge the movie gave it to make it come into fruition. I've had several versions of this story floating around my ideas file for quite a while now. There were just details in the movie that happened to stitch the story together in a way that made it work for right now. I hope you enjoy it!

Ha! I could totally see Nick saying "good" about Leighanne not coming with them on tour. If I was in Nick's position, I would probably say the same thing ... is that horrible?? LOL On a completely unrelated note, the awkwardness of Nick and Brian's interaction really got to me. It felt real and that's what made it so hard for me to read. Why can't things just go back to the way that they were before!?!?!

Author's Response: I hate awkward conversations like that, where you can feel there's stuff not being said and you aren't sure what to say to make it move along. I have those frequently with my sister. I channeled that frustration into their conversation in the restaurant. I'm glad it came off as awkwardly as I was trying to make it feel! haha

I thought that the interaction between Lauren and Brian in this chapter was quite cute! I laughed out loud at the whole "Nick Whisperer" thought!! I'm so excited to see where you go with this. Nick and Brian alone on a promotional tour ... Oh man. Good on Kevin for forcing the two of them together. They have to work things out - they need each other, they're both just too stubborn to admit it.

Sorry for the lack of reviews. I'm still reading this and enjoying it tremendously. I often read on the go whenever the baby is napping and forget to review. Ooooops!! Anyways, I love how the tension keeps building up between Brian and Nick and then almost resolving itself. It's exactly how I picture their real life relationship to be at the moment. The cliffhanger at the end of this chapter has definitely left me wanting more. Looking forward to the next update!

Author's Response: Thanks for the review! I'm glad to hear you're enjoying the story. I feel like there's a lot of seesaw moments in their relationship, too. I think they've grown a lot closer since Nick got engaged/married like now that he's there, too, Nick understands what made Brian pull away, what that felt like. I think he maybe respects what happened more in retrospect and that's why they're getting along better now than they used to. That's my observation now. Like real life Nick and Brian, not just mine. lol Obvs in my story they're still fighting until that talk last chapter, LOL.

Awww everything was so perfect ... Too perfect. Haha! I know that there's gonna be some drama - it wouldn't be a good romance without drama. :p I love your descriptions. It makes me feel like I'm there in the moment with the characters without being overwhelming or taking away from the plot. Great start!

Six children?!?! I would die! I have one daughter who keeps me super busy. I couldn't even imagine having five more running around. Although, I always pictured Brian as a guy who would want to have a big family. Like, if he was able to have his way, he would have a family that would rival the Duggers ... except all of his kids would have "B" names. LOL I like how you added the bit about Kevin into this chapter; foreshadowing what we already know - that he returns to the group.
