Now that's what I call great timing! You posted the new chapter as I was getting ready to go to bed! Great bedtime story, no suspense at all *coughs*
I gotta say you still amaze me. Your writing skills are something to die for. I really wish I could have an ounce of the same qualities you have. Your descriptions of the events happening during this chapter are so vivid, I have to remind myself that it isn't real, the guys are safe and Tim is a fictional character. Great job as always!
I sure hope Howie will knock him out cold and not trip over his own feet (although it wouldn't surprise me, seeing how successful his actions have been during this story).
On a side note; I know I promised you an update on "Fireflies", but something dramatic happened to one of my three colleagues, so that has taken up a lot of my time. But I am working on it, I promise!
Author's Response: Wow, I don't even know what to say. That was a really great compliment coming from you who I do consider a great writer yourself! I guess this story isn't the best thing to read before bed, huh? At least there's nothing spooky? That's what I would have a hard time with. Creepy I could do, not spooky though! I'm glad the descriptions read as vivid. I really hope that you guys do see what I see while I'm writing this thing. Sometimes they are harder than others, so I'm glad it seems realistic enough that you have to remind yourself it isn't happening. I bet the boys are kind of grateful for that too! Poor Howie...maybe this will be the beginning of his luck changing? Maybe? LOL Also really glad to hear you're working on an update to "Fireflies" But I'm sorry to hear that something happened to your co-workers. :O(
Finally Howie managed to do something right!
Yet I am not feeling relieved at all..
He'd better hurry, but on the other hand, if he'll find help, how will help find Kevin and Nick? Can Howie tell them where they need to go or won't he remember because it's in the middle of nowhere?
So many questions, yet no answers. You are awesome though for updating again! Hooray to you.

Loved this chapter! I really like the whole layout with the going back and forth to the past and present and the times Tim wanted to kill himself and why. It is really sad though, the childhood he had and how he'd wanted to take his own life. Once to save his mother and once backing out to keep her safe from his father.
The way you created his personality is really good and believable. We all know he's nuts, but we (or at least, I ) still feel sorry for the guy. Great job, Mare!
Now let's just hope the cops are in time to save Nick!

The way Tim acts in the hospital is really childlike and therefore really sad and scary at the same time. Great job! I'm happy Howie and Kevin are both okay. I just hope Tim won't be able to pay the guys a visit by somehow getting out of his room.
Author's Response: I suddenly feel so violated! LOL I doubt Tim is going anywhere but I guess you never know. Well, I will know because I'm all knowing, but you will never know...until I update. I'm in the middle of writing chapter 38 now. I'm sure that one will be ready to go by Friday! Not sure about the rest. We shall see. :O) Thanks for being awesome! I would love to read a new Fireflies chapter soon!

Did that scare you, Mare? I hope it did.. great chapter though! I love the way you let all of them describe how they are feeling it's their fault, even though it's not. Also I like the way you let us see how Nick's feeling.
About Fireflies, the new chapter is almost done, but since I'll be working six out of seven days next week (and I also have a course one night and be at the theatre another), I'm not sure I'll be able to post it that week.

I love the fact you skipped a year so we can see how Tim's doing in this chapter (and hopefully see the others are in the next one). It's nice he got treatment and is doing a bit better, though I find it a bit unbelievable he made that much progress, but that is probably the psychologist in me talking, so I wouldn't worry about that. My study just made me very skeptical I guess.
Great writing as always of course. I'm a bit sad Kevin is limping, but at least you didn't take his leg, lol.
Take your time and update when you think is the right moment. I'll be right here waiting for you. *sings*
Author's Response: Aww, I wish I knew you were a psychologist, I would have totally consulted you on this chapter!! I wasn't sure if meds would make an immediate difference or not. I would think that if most of his behavior was because of an untreated mental condition, once he started treatment there would be a fast show of improvement but I also wasn't sure if that was the case. I just went by years of living with crazy people as my guideline lol
I never intended Kevin to have a gimpy leg but as I was writing it seemed more dramatic so I went with it. I don't think I could have ever chopped it off, I'll leave the choppage to Julie! lmao
And thanks for being patient! The psychologist in you probably also gets why I need the gratification. hehe
I was so happy when I saw you updated, but a bit sad as well, seeing it's the final one.
I'm glad Nick made it and he'll be okay for the most part. You had me scared for a second when I read about them possibly calling it quits though.
Even though it's completely understandable, my jaw dropped when I read Howie and Leigh split. Ididn't see that coming. For some reason the way Brian and A.J. acted out, I kinda expected.
It's sad though, they lost themselves because of one night and then reconnecting, not only with themselves, but also their spouses and each other, was that hard and cost them that much.
I could say many more positive things, but then you have other things to do, lol, so I'll end this review by saying once again that you are one of the best writers I know. I really hope you'll continue writing ( fanfiction ) and maybe even start a new story soon.
Author's Response: I felt like one of them had to have their marriage suffer as a result and as much as I wanted it to be Leighanne and Brian (lol) I knew she would never leave his money...erm...I mean him, She would never leave him. I felt like Leigh and Howie would be a bit more realistic. Thanks for your constant support during this fic! You were one of the people that made me want to keep writing because I was always so curious to see what your thoughts were going to be! I hope I find inspiration for a new fic! :O)
