See you're spoiling us with the almost daily updates! but i guess the next one will take a bit longer huh. Lol, I loved this, i was one of them: "Don't let the chapter title fool you. It's not literal. (And I swear I can hear some Aww man's LOL)". Anyways, wow, damn they kissed and Shayla knows it! shoot, that was intense, I was like "they're gonna get caught!" lol, and that has gotten things even weirder between Nick and Alyssa. And then her relationship with Sean is getting worse, and i wonder if Kina will play a bigger part here. I wanna know what Shayla is going to tell Nick. I bet next chappie will be really good too, can't wait :D Great job with this one Mel!



Author's Response: Yea the next one won't be out until maybe the earliest Sun. I only got maybe a page yesterday with the Felix Awards and all. So, we'll see. I go back to work Mon :( Hehe Yea I think Shayla can put two and two together, but instead of confronting them about it like a normal person does she's got "other" ideas. I don't think Kina is going to be a very integral part of the plot. Sean isn't genuinely attracted to her like that and I think he would've flirted with almost any attractive female just to make his point. Thanks for your review as always!

Hey Mel, first of all Congrats on the Felix award!!!! you so deserve it!!! Now, I think it's a shame that you had to write this because of what some people were saying or 'cause they disagreed, I'm a very open-minded person and I'm open to new possibilities, that doesn't mean i think cheating is right, I'm totally against it, but focusing in this story a) it's fiction, even though this happens on the everyday life, in this case it's only "fiction" portraying reality, so I don't see a problem with that, and b) in a story there have to be issues and problems, it can't all be pink, where would the fun be huh? So, I just wanna say that I'm very glad to know that you'll keep writing what you feel and how you want the story to go. So like always, keep the amazing work on :D



Author's Response: Thank you. I'm actually really proud of my award and I think I worked hard to get it and it was well deserved. For me runner up is just as good as winning since I was up against some anazing stories. And as someone did point out to me my story isn't exactly a straightforward romance so I see winning an award in a romance category a really great acheivement. You bring up some good points and I'm more sure than ever now that I'm doing the right thing. Thanks for your ongoing support!

Really good chappie. Personally I do think Shayla got pregnant on purpose "accidentaly forgetting to take the pill", to make sure Nick wouldn't even think of leaving her for Alyssa, damn poor Nick, but so far he seems to be making the best decision. That dream he had, is very cute yet very sad. Now Alyssa may have a chance to get pregnant, let's hope so. This is getting better and better, I hope you update asap! Great job :D



Author's Response: Yay someone else commented on my dream! Lol I was writing it and I was like OMG Nick with a daughter is SOOO weird for me lol. You'll have to wait and see what the deal with Shayla is, but I'm enjoying hearing everyone's opinion. I'm glad that I'm sucking you in. I wish I could start the chapter right now, but I should be outlining my reading for class tomorrow night. I have a feeling my prof is going to check it. :(

OMG!!! great great chappie. When i started to read and it all seemed like Alyssa was pregnant i was like hmmm, maybe but then i remembered the name of the chapter and i was like "oh, nevermind, not happening" (and i thik it won't happen 'cause she'll end up with Nick so a baby would be an obstacle) but i didnt imagine (well maybe kinda did) that the title was for Shayla too, damn, that bitch, lol, but i'm so glad Nick is divorcing her. Then there was that part where things got tense between Sean and Alyssa and i knew she was gonna end up going to the condo and she was gonna run into him. Damn cliffhangers, hope you update soon! :D Great job :D

Date: 03/16/08 Title: Chapter 19: Chapter 17 - Downpour

Hey Mel, i didn't want this chappie to end lol. It was really great, and what i can notice from UMS to this one is that there's a connection between them that wasn't there before, i mean deeper, now that they've both grown up and changed and i think they're so ready to get back together, lol. I really liked this chappie. And i'm sorry i'm not giving you a more insightful review but i'm still in shock and can't concentrate very much 'cause i saw the Boys live last night!!!! My very 1st concert!!! It was awesome, and plus, i got to go to the soundcheck!!! Great job, don't leave us hanging for too long :D

Author's Response: Aww lucky!!! I'm still waiting for dates here in the states, but soundchecks are incredible! I went to one on the NG tour and it was just amazing! But anyway onto the chapter... I'm so glad that you can see the connection between UMS and now and how different its become. I've spent s lot of time trying to work on showing that they are stronger now, so I'm glad readers are noticing. Ha lol You may not have wanted that chapter to end but by the end of that last sex scene I sure did! LOL It took a lot out of me. But it's okay because it'll be a while before anything else sexual comes up. Thanks for your review!

Wow, poor Alyssa, this really messed her up. Things are "easier" for Nick since he's divorcing Shayla but for Alyssa, this is realy tough and worst, she's realizing about the strong connection they share now that they've been apart from each other and changed. I think a secret like this is gonna be very hard to keep, I mean the truth always comes out, sooner or later, we'll just have to see what happens when that does. Good chappie, i wanna know what'll happen next. Update soon :D

Author's Response: It did mess her up more than I think she realized it would at the time. You're right Nick really does get off easier not just because he's got one foot out the door with Shayla, but also because he's the "man" and unfortunately when a man cheats its like Oh yea that's a guy for you. But when a woman cheats its SOOOO much worse because she has to deal with the stigma of being labeled a whore. So yea I'd say it definitely is harder on Alyssa.  You're right... The truth always comes out, but the question is when?

I knew it!!! the baby is Nick's, it's great that it is now confirmed, but on the other hand, poor Alyssa, how is she gonna tell Sean? I think she'll do it eventually, but not at the moment. Wow, and I wonder what Nick's reaction gonna be when he finds out, a huge shocker. Damn cliffies, this is getting better and better, ah!!! I hope you don't take that long to update girl. Author's Response: Yea telling Sean that its not his baby after all is going to be REALLY hard for Alyssa especially since Sean probably wants a child more than Alyssa does. As for Nick's reaction it also should be interesting because he really doesn't want kids, yet he's said he wouldn't mind them with Alyssa, so his reaction might surprise you, but you'll have to wait a few chapters for that. I'll try to update again as soon as I can.

Great chapter Mel!! gosh, i wonder what she'll do, what option she'll take, of course the easiest one is C but is the most unfair one. Nick's call, def awkward for her, lol, it would be great if he went with her to do some baby shooping but i don't think alyssa will allow it. Like i said, this gets better and better each time. Wow, has it been three months already since he moved to the condo? time flies. It was a good chappie, not much going on, how nice of Nick to give the blanket to Alyssa, he's making it so hard for her now but I'm dying to know what will happen when Alyssa tells him the truth and I think it's gonna be pretty soon 'cause Nick's gonna get tired with Alyssa avoiding him and will want some answers. Hope you don't take too long with the next one but I guess we have no choice but to be patient and wait :D

Author's Response: It's actually been a little less. Nick moved in, in June and it's now mid - Aug already in the story. I've kinda been flying through time lately with this story. The next chapter will take us to the beginning of Sept. Nick is definitely unknowingly making it hard on Alyssa and I think you're right. Nick is going to want to know what's going on PRETTY soon...

OMFG!!! I was literally biting my fingernails while I was reading, and more when I got to the part when she tells him!!! This was really good and thanks so much for the quick update. Nick's world got turned upside-down, it wasn't a very nice way to find out he's gonna be a daddy but at least now he knows, wow, this was a really good chappie and I'm dying to know how things will turn out! Hope you surprise us with another update very very soon. Great job Mel! :D

Author's Response: I'm glad you liked it! The characters kind of came alive and took over the scene especially Nick LOL. I'd love to update quickly, but I think my students are going to be keeping me VERY busy!
