I'm worried what lunatic will do when discovers Howie escaped. Nick is brushing off his pain as usual, but I get the feeling this could be more serious than what Nick thinks.

What a great chapter!!!! Nick's emotions were raw and Tim was as creepy as ever! I hope you can update again quickly before your work starts up again! I hate when school starts lol.....

You've finally confirmed that Tim is a psycho!! What a horrible childhood! So many emotional scars.....so sad :( What injury does Nick have to his stomach? I have too many diagnoses to go on LOL. Great chapter. Update soon please!

O_O WTH this guy gets creepier by the chapter. I'm enjoying the torture of course.....Nick starting to realize he maybe screwed health-wise. His cardiomyopathy dosen't help matters either! Scared to find out what creepy Tim will do next if he does or doesn't find Howie.

Well that sucks. Here I was hoping Howie could have avoided psycho Tim. That was cool how you had Howie's Dad coaching him, telling him to keep quiet or when to run. Sad about the low self esteem part with Howie, he needs to realize that God doesn't make junk; we all have a purpose. Poor Howie is going to have the truck ride in hell now that Tim has planted guilt in his head saying that 'there's been a complication.' I hate your cliffhangers lol.
Author's Response: I feel like out of all of them, I have been the meanest to poor Howie! Luckily for him, because he does suck at directions, he isn't that far from the cabin so the ride will be pretty short. LOL Thanks, Carrie!
This is such a good story but then again I wouldn't anything less. I'm still reading but have slacked giving you the feedback you deserve :( Poor Howie having to resort to killing a man so Nick could survive! Nick grower weaker by the hour. I can only imagine what happen next....

I'm still reading!!! OMG This story gets better & better with each chapter! I'm anxious to see if I'm correct with Nick's diagnosis :) Love the big brother Kevin moments. Howie feels he needs to be the hero since he's the only one that's not hurt. I hope the next chapter is up soon!

Great ending to an awesome story! I guessed some of Nick's injuries but I didn't see the damaged kidney. I was confused when I read chapter 39...I was thinking wth did I miss some chapters? LOL
I'm personally kicking myself for being 'one of those people' that read & don't review afterwards. I will now make it a point to just say things even if I can't give big details about the chapter. It does motivate the author & keeps them inspired.

Author's Response: Thanks, Carrie! No need to apologize! You took the time to review every once in awhile. I knew I wanted to get to Tim's progress and I also knew it had to be at least a year later for him to show any improvement, so that's why I suddenly skipped to a year later. I could have just done it in real time but this story would have just dragged out and would have lost it's ummph! LOL I'm glad you enjoyed this one!!

Love the chapter with Kevin & Brian. You did a great job of portraying how Kevin would be in this situation as level headed and logical with facts that there wasn't much hope left for Nick to come back. The journal was a great added touch. Looking forward to the next update.
