Great update....way to leave us hanging! I loved the emotions in this chapter and the easiness of being in Nick's house knowing this was some of the last things he had done, unaware of what laid ahead. Looking forward to the next update!

Lots of different emotions in this great chapter.

Things are looking a little different to me now.....The dogs food dish almost overflowing with food, I'm starting to suspect Lauren has something to do with what happened and knew she wasn't coming back.

So 'Nick' wasn't alone at this club? This will be interesting to find out if they can I'D who this person is. I'm afraid that Kevin will ultimately have to go to the morgue and make an identification of the body.

Like the equal feelings of distaste in Jane LOL.

Author's Response: I appreciate the fact that you're picking up on all of my little clues. You had to be reading pretty closely to get the dog food one. Nicely done!! Things are not looking so good as far as Lauren is concerned. A lot of people are now pegging her as the murderer. :O Ha! I couldn't resist slipping the Jane bit in there at the end.

That part made me laugh. AJ would be a dink like that....

Love the chapter & the heated argument amongst the two cousins adding to the tension that is
already in Nick's house.

Good start with Kevin & Howie talking out their theories & coming to terms about whats happened to Nick. LOL on the massive pizza boxes and smiles on AJ &Brian's faces.

Love the Kevin/Kristin interaction. You portrayed the conversation like it should be between a husband & wife in a time of anguish. Seemed realistic.

Anxious to read more!

I'm wondering if the website post of Nick's death may be a little premature because no one has officially identified the body yet (I'm hoping there's a been a mistake lol).

Author's Response: I figured that they deserved to have some fun at least for a little while. Of course Kevin was the one to ruin it ... always the serious one. It seems as though quite a few people are hoping there's been a mistake (in terms of Nick). You'll find out soon enough!

Glad to see Nick is back!! Interesting take on AJ's joyful reaction and Brian's uncertain response toward Nick. What a dumbass for not checking to see why the guys had tried calling his phone so many times, and Lauren too.

This is still so odd that if they were going away on a planned outing that they wouldn't have put Nacho in a kennel? (it's just the paranoid dog lover in me lol)

Loved the update; can't wait to see Kevin & Howie's reaction when they see Nick.

Author's Response: I wanted to make their reactions different and AJ just seemed like he would be the one to show the most excitement. If I were to go away, I would definitely put my dog in a kennel. However, my friends have gone away for a week and left their dog at home alone. They just stock up the food and water and make sure that their pup has access to the backyard through a doggy door. I figured that Nick and Lauren could do the same for Nacho simply because I needed Nacho's presence to play up the illusion that Nick was really dead. :P

You've done a great job on a fragile subject matter. It will be interesting to see if Nick comes clean with the sick uncle & his family dynamics.

Wow a stomach clenching chapter....I could totally relate to Kevin's incident about brother's car accident on both levels but neither one ended as well as his (I'm not going to elaborate).

The sick Uncle and wtf is going on with Nick's parents and that sick Lou?! I've always had a feeling there was more to him in real life with Nick....

Great chapter as always. Hope you get some time to update soon!
