Wow! Kudos to Brian! Now we know this is fiction. Crazy psychopathic fan with goons to help her? Possibly... A man looking exactly like Nick killed so everyone thinks he's dead? Could happen...Brian standing up to his wife & realizing BSB is as important? Total fiction! lol but appreciated fiction. I was wondering when the wives were going to pop up. I loved how you got them in there. Kevin reminded me of a grumpy old man in the end there with the ranting about the paparazzi. Nicely done.

Author's Response: OMG this review made me bust a gut! How sad is it that the most unlikely bit of this whole crazy story is Brian finally being able to say what's on his mind?? This is why I love fiction ... in my world, Brian can stand up to his wife. :D Bahahaha at Kevin being the grumpy old guy ... if the shoe fits ...

That was a very thoughtful read. It was refreshing to read about how things might have been Nick's very first time out on the road. I bet for a kid his age it was a terrifying thing. Nicely done, Tracy!

Aww, going back to the Black and Blue era is going to be tough. I loved your line about how he felt like he did around his parents. Begin famous really sucks sometimes. I could never do it. The money, yes please! But all the other crap that comes with it? No thank you! Especially for someone like Nick who has no sense of family or anyone to guide him through what's right or wrong. Yikes!

I remember that video of Howie with Nick saying the picking his nose part. I think that's one of the very first videos I ever watched of them when I started to get really into their music and I remember thinking. Wow, Nick is a little brat! LOL Did the bus really leave him behind? I ask because it seems like a few stories have that happen during this tour. Nice job, Rose!

Author's Response: It really is. In my head Nick found this new family to replace his broken one and when it started to have problems Nick was thrown back into the same feelings being around the Carters used to give him. Especially since AJ's substance abuse and anger problems would've been too similar. I could never do it either. At least not for anything but writing. Maybe be cool like JK Rowling? I could handle that. LOL awww is it really? As far as I know the bus incident never happened but I wanted to combine it with something that did so it'd feel a little more real. But you're right I've seen that idea in stories for either their Euro tour or Millennium. Maybe it's like the Little Man thing? Where no one was sure for the longest time where it originated lmao. Aww, Nick's thoughts were so sad. I often wondered if Nick really went into a complete tailspin after Kevin left the group. Not really because of it, but because he was no longer there with this watchful eye, but then again who knows how watchful that eye was. Also loved his thoughts about taking voice lessons and they were the first thing they did for him, but not really. I think the saddest part of all, is the fact that we know this is all true. :( I am so glad he's in a much better place. I would have a really hard time reading this if he wasn't. I am also kind of glad that Bean is no longer really in his life. Good riddance to that one! As well as most of his family!

Author's Response: I felt really bad writing this chapter and was actively rereading his Night of the Zombies chapter so that I captured the feelings I wanted. I do think Kevin had a lot to do with his tailspin because he started to really nosedive during their break before Never Gone, and then really fell apart after Kevin left the group. The sad thing is that it's all true but the bright side is how he's so much better now. I hated Bean, thank GOD he's out of there LOL. I know you might be a little leery and I get it. If it helps I am as of right now, seven chapters ahead of myself and by my estimates (it could change but I don't think it'll vary too bad) this is only gonna be about 15/16 chapters. So have no fear! Thanks Mare, you're the best :)

Aww, This is my least favorite time period for them. I really do believe that a lot of that stuff in interviews, and that documentary was edited. I will never ever forget the image of Nick crying on TRL when they announced AJ going into rehab. I barely knew who they were at that time but I wanted to hug him when I saw how sad he was. I'm glad I wasn't a full fledged fan back then because it would have broken my heart. Nice take on the broken wrist. I don't think I've ever read that scenario before.

Author's Response: Mine too. It was really just a horrible period and amazing they didn't break up for good. I do believe they probably had to edit a LOT out back then. Cause up till the announcement everything seemed okay. I bawled like a baby when I heard AJ was going into rehab. It was a sad time, really depressing. As for the wrist I've seen a few theories on how Nick broke it and many felt AJ did it. But this I don't know, I felt like it was better if he was trying to stop them in the ways he never tried with his parents. Thanks Mare!

I think that's one of the reasons she has never ever bugged me. She was there from the beginning. I'm also enjoying your little blurbs at the start if every chapter. I hated this time in their lives. I loved the result of it. Never Gone and that tour are warm fuzzies for me. Ugh reading about Kevin leaving is not going to be fun.

Author's Response: I hate Paris so much. She was so freaking bad for him. I'm glad you enjoyed how I touched on Kristin too. I don't normally do that with the wives but in this case I sort of felt it was necessary. Nick's always had a great relationship with her and joked about wanting Kevin's wife and so she's as much a friend as anyone to him I think. I'm happy you like my blurbs! I toyed with what POV to do and in the first chapter I did it, liked it, and hoped it worked. NG is such a mixed bag for me. It's definitely their most creative recording time but I know a lot went on with Jive then and the album doesn't showcase the creativity going into it. But it was also my first ever BSB concert LOL. Aww I know Kevin leaving will be hard. It was hard for me to write! But at least you got Kevin/Nick fuzzies in this chapter! :) Thanks Mare!
