IMPORTANT! READ! Message Board Maintenance

(1/2) > >>

Chaos:
Hey guys. It's finally come time that I need to do a bit of board maintenance and get rid of some of the old threads. I'm going to probably do some board combining and some thread deletions and all sorts of stuff like that. Threads that have not been posted to in over 90 days will be going away. I will put them into an archive in case there are threads that warrent being restored. Otherwise, if there's an old thread you know you don't want to go away and it's not been posted to in 90 days, please post to it (or save it for yourself if it's something that really doesn't pertain to most of the board...).

I'll be excluding boards such as the "Introduction" board, the "Featured Member" and "Featured Story" boards, and probably a couple others from this purge. I'm sure there are probably ones I won't think of, so if there's another board you think should be excluded from the purge, let me know.

nicksgal:
Maybe the Shameless Plugs and Pizza board?

But there's definitely threads in General Chatter at least that could stand to go away. lol

But, will deleting threads lower our post counts? :(

Chaos:
I'll make sure it doesn't before I do the purge. If it does, I'll take a snapshot of what they're supposed to be because I have the capability of going in to alter post counts. Mwahahahaha. (Huh. Why have I not seemingly posted 23159 posts?!? I must change that...)

And duly noted about the shameless plugs.

nicksgal:
My goodness, perhaps you're the God of fanfiction then? lmfao!

Don't forget, as of this post, I have 8857. ;)

RokofAges75:
As long you archive them and don't just delete them, that sounds fine to me.  There are some old threads that are really entertaining to read through, and I don't want those to be deleted... but at the same time, they're not worth posting in to start up again or anything; they ran their course.  I would just love to be able to still read them if I wanted to.
