^I didn't know what roleplaying was until she explained it to me in YM chat. I thought I was the only one who didn't know about it.

And Kim, with or without roleplaying, I'd love to chat with you again.  :)

Role playing is when you use a chat and each one of you take on the role as one of the guys or a fictional character. It's kind of like acting out a fanfic. you don't chat as yourselvesbut as one of the characters. I know it used to be really popular back in the day but I don't know of many people that do it anymore.

Thanks for the explanation Mare.  I can't imagine taking part in anything like that, lol

I did it for a hot minute lol but for us it was more as a means of helping us out with writing. It was kind of fun actually but I don't think i'd do it how it was really intended. We talked as ourselves and then jumped in as the guys. I was Nick of course lol I did it to help me with Why i'd do it All Again!

At first, I thought it was for writing a story. Like collaboration, you just want to find out how the conversation will go. Maybe I'd try it for the sake of writing.  :)

Hmm, for the sake of writing it might be a good idea.  I still can't imagine chatting to someone on MSN or AIM and pretending to be a BSB though.  I think I'd feel weird, lol

LMAO yes me to that's why we most o the time chatted as ourselves and ran scenes as the guys. Like the scene in why where the guys are talking about Nick falling out the window. Things like that lol to see if it would work, but I couldn't maintain an entire chat as Nick without feeling weird.

it's more fun when you are a made up character in a made up world! LOL.  I used to role-play in chat rooms, and MUD/MUSH.  (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MUD).  I had a MUSH where I was @ Hogwarts a hundred years before Voldemort.  That way we couldn't be any of the canon we had to create our own.  There were a few adventure ones where you went around, alone or in groups, and went on quests.  In a quick description (if you don't want to go to the link) a MUD/MUSH is a text version of games like WoW.  :-D

I did do one once where we were famous people but that one didn't last long.
