Brandon,my butler,says that Smythe the gardener did it,while Mary the maid says Smythe told her Brandon did it.
Wilson, the handyman says he knows who the thief was but did not wish to say.I've known Brandon and Smythe my whole life and I've never
known them to tell the truth."

Sherlock smiled."Assuming that the butler and the gardener have not changed thier ways and that Mary and Wilson are telling the truth,

it is quite simple to deduce the thief."
