I've just had a lovely three chapters to catch up on and wow, you really are putting them both through it!
Poor Brian, hearing that they may pull the plug if he doesn't improve. I can't imagine how terrifying that would be, to be awake and aware of everything but powerless to do anything or let anyone know he's still there :(
And Nick, not only is his heart failing fast, but now he's found out Dani is pregnant by him. What an awful mess.
Reading about the fluid retention, EF and Echocardiogram s is making me think of my own husband. He had severe fluid retention in his stomach and chest at diagnosis but not his legs. I'm just glad he's been stable on his medication and isn't going through what Nick is in this story.

Chapter 25 of A Heart That Isn’t Mine has been posted, and you’re in for a pretty intense ride from here on out. I’m aiming to end this story on an even forty chapters, so we’re definitely on the downward slide now, but the drama’s only going to escalate. Enjoy!

The drama is increasing, I was on the edge of my seat reading that chapter! For a moment I thought they weren't going to bring him back and that Brian would just be lying there watching him die. But the fact that he is crying, will they pick up on that and realise that he's still aware of everything going on? Or will they be too focussed on Nick to notice?
Great chapter though, can't wait for more :)
